Inaccurate targeting at Avazu DSP (8)

Have you tried contacting their support?

It could be that the Android Webview traffic is coming from apps that use embedded Chrome browser engine. This way the visitor doesn’t have to jump from the app to the browser, but open the page within the app.

Hope this helps.

HI Platinum,

I have contacted my Avazu Dsp AM following is his reply.
"
Hello mate,
When I check with our tech team.
The reply is:
1) when they check the campaign url, you have not set {us} in your campaign url, The parameter for Device user agent is {ua} and we analysis ua to get mobile browser data, no matter PC browser or mobile browser.
2) Our tech team asking the screenshot you just send from the Voluum, How they get those data from analysis? (because we are analysis ua to get mobile browser)
"

I provide few screenshots from my Voluum to them. But this is their answer. It's shouldn't related with my campaign URL. So, I should stop using this TS?

hmmm... actually the tracker will detect itself the browser version of the visitors - not quite sure if targeting relies on campaign tracking tokens or not.

Considering that their support is already on your case, before stopping to buy their traffic I believe it would be better to work with them and get the problem sorted out as it's actually showing good sings (you have conversions)

I think this will be one of those examples when a network will try to blame the tracker, when the problem probably lies with their targeting.

You (OP) should definitely push them a bit to get this sorted out, things like this do happen from time to time, no tech is perfect.

Another thing to consider ... do the numbers match when you compare how much clicks you were billed for and what Voluum shows? Could be also some kind of a bot or something, that is just messing with your numbers.

Hi Matuloo,

I have tried ask them to sort it out. It's seem they end up no reply to me. Really feel spechless. What I can do is try to optimize the non targeting traffic to few smart link. Hopefully, can get better result. Otherwise, will stop use this TS if can't get profit. For the billed click/impression seem pretty match with my Voluum stats.

Hm, maybe try to start another campaign too, sometimes the tech stuff simply acts weird. I've used this source for a while and didn't have problems actually, so I'm surprised by your experience.

You could also try to do what they requested and use the parameter, then you could show them the difference between what they are showing and what you see in Voluum.

But if it doesn't work out for you, try other DSP ... for example go2mobi or even the one by voluum.

Avazu DSP is rubbish, they will steal your campaign and stop your traffic, maybe they have their own MB team.
DO NOT WASTE TIME IN MDSP.
