How to Create a Vision Board

Why Create a Vision Board?

In order to get anything, anyone, or anywhere, you need to DEFINE it first.

A Vision Board will help you to identify your wants and give them clarity. It will allow you to feel what it's like to be where you want to be, so that when the going gets tough in your current reality, you'll be more motivated to stay on course to continue moving towards your dream life instead of quitting.

You can read more on the benefits of creating a Vision Board here:

https://makedapennycooke.com/vision-board-benefits/

And as an added incentive, by creating a Vision Board thread you will get quite a few points to help you level up in the forum! So please get this done!

This should be a fun exercise and not a chore - so just relax and have fun with this!

How to Create a Vision Board

Find a quiet spot, close your eyes, and imagine you're living your dream life...

What would that life LOOK like? What would it FEEL like, both emotionally and in the see/hear/smell/taste/touch sense?

The idea is to make your dream come ALIVE for you. You don't need to adhere to any rules or templates - basically just construct your dream using words and images that make you FEEL GOOD.

How to Post Images Properly

Please DO NOT upload images as post attachments - that vbulletin feature is hit-and-miss. The images won't even show up half the time.

Instead, please use an online image depository like imgur.

Simple click on "New post":

Then upload your image, and copy the BBCODE link and paste that into the forum post.

Vision Board Template

As was mentioned, you don't need to stick to any rules or templates. But if you want/need one, below is a simple one you could use:

1)What are your career goals?

Are you managing a big team / small team? Are you working from home or in an office? Are you checking stats? Seeing big green numbers?

2)What are your relationship goals?

It doesn't matter if you're single or attached. Imagine the perfect mate, and write down their attributes (physcial, personality, whatever else). Describe what you two are doing together, and how you feel with you're with them.

3)What are your health goals?

Imagine that you have the perfect body and are in perfect health. How do you feel? What do you look like?

4)What do you SEE yourself doing on a day to day basis?

Are you traveling? Which countries are you in? What new hobbies have you acquired? What kind of car are you driving? What does your home look like? Who are your friends and what kinds of fun stuff are you doing together? Etc. etc. - anything you can think of that would bring joy to you when you think about it.

5)If you had an unlimited amount of money, what kinds of material things would you buy?

Houses? Cars? Yachts? Jets?

Those would be the bigger things - as for the smaller things, you can always create a Wish List on Amazon, or eBay, or another large ecommerce site that delivers to your country. (And if you do, feel free to also post a screenshot of some of your favorite things to your Vision Board thread!)

Inspiration For Your Vision Board

To help you get started - below are some links on Pinterest where you can get raw materials (words and images) to build your Vision Board.

Most importantly, think as though you're ALREADY there living the life you want, then describe it. Don't just ask yourself "what kind of life would I want?" Pretend you're already living it, convince yourself you're already there, then describe what you see and feel.

Let me show an example of a Vision Board in the post below...

Huge fan of this Amy!

Print it off, on the back of your door on your bedroom or in the mirror of your bathroom. Get it in sight, let that powerful mind see it every single day

You KNOW something is legit when it's Maynzie-approved! Thanks for dropping by!

Expectations can be so powerful. I'm reading the "Seth Speaks" series of books where they explain how our mind creates our reality. Simply fascinating stuff.

I will check this out Thanks Amy

It's too loud to be ignored these days, we're all co-creating this world. Hack the matrix and become the best you, which is the you you're now and always have been, only running on different habits and thought patterns.

I LOVE this type of discussions. And although new age concepts are becoming more widely accepted, it's not everyday that I meet someone who doesn't look at me weird when I start talking about energy lol!

Can you please explain what you mean by your comment about the matrix?

Made my first vision board 2 days ago, wont share it as it quite personal.

But... I found something quite nice to remind me of my VB every now and then.

I use Google Chrome and the Block Sites plugin.

In this plugin you can select a redirect when you try to visit a site you are not supposed to.

So my redirect goes straight to my Vision board in Google Drive,

I might actually share something on my VB, a Porsche Singer: http://singervehicledesign.com/works/

Hopefully I will be driving that one to the next AWE, it is only 9 hours by car

Amazing, thanks Amy! One tip i've seen in some youtuber that I don't recall anymore who wasn't, but is putting a postit notes with the words in front of your bathroom mirror, so once you wake up is the first thing you see. Even tho isn't a photo just the words tthere are already very helpful.

WoW, how cool to find posts like this in this forum! I am sure that my vision board led me in to this community

That's brilliant! I'm just curious though as to what kinds of sites you're referring to.

Looking forward! You have 9 more months.

Great tip thank you! You can extend this by taping messages to your computer/laptop/walls, putting them on computer/phone wallpaper, etc. Plus there are apps you can download that can regularly pop up messages on your phone.

And I'm grateful to the Universe for having led you here!

Whatever may be happening right now is a part of our journey. Good or bad, it's a part of our experience and is meant to happen. That's what I believe in personally.
