Hey amazing people,
I have just completed the infamous course 6WAMC at iStake Training. I decided to go to Bangkok to attend Affiliate World Asia 2017.
I have got contacted by few networks and Traffic Sources to set up a meeting with them and I did! However, I have no clue what to say or to ASK FOR in those meeting.
Can someone please help me out? I do not want to miss my first opportunity.
Thanks alot
Zidan
Hi,
Good choice heading to AWA, a great show full of amazing people.
It will depend on what you want to accomplish and focus on.
Meet networks with offers you are interested in running, ask them about whats hot, whats new and what do they offer diffrent.
Same with traffic sources, get to know them better and any tips and tricks they might know and be able to share. You would be surprised how many traffic sources have features or inventory that people dont know about because they dont ask. Keep your ears and eyes open for trends and see what its hot and bubbling at the show.
Network with other affiliates, you have a great position being a iStack alumni, find other people that went through their training. Get to know each other, form mastermind, share experiences.
On the the best parts of the shows is putting a face to names, its not that same in person as via Skype, meet your contacts in person and show them you are a real person in it for real. That is very valuable.
Feel free to stop by our booth and say hi (Booth A40)
Best,
V
Just a few general tips from my end ...
1. It doesn't cost any money to ask, so ask as much questions as you can...
2. After every meeting, take a few minutes for yourself, have a drink and write down via mobile the key points of your discussion...sometimes conferences can be pretty overwhelming (especially in the beginning) and you'll forget stuff. It's also very important due to the fact that you're going to meet with networks and by keeping a proper record, you'll be able to compare and analyze the offers and services given by those networks (sometimes right there on the spot)
3. Optimize - every min during the conference should be invested in things that will assist you (personally and professionally) and your business to grow. period. Don't waste your time on irrelevant meetings and discussions. If it's relevant, be fully into absorbing knowledge and open to learn new stuff. If it's not relevant , be thankful and respectful and move on...!
4. Make sure that you bring business cards.
5. Try to schedule meetings in advance ...worst case, just exchange phone # in advance and communicate during the conference via whatsapp / skype.
6. Don't relay on the conference wi-fi or hotel service, most of the time it's shit and you need to be always online (to take calls or send / receive messages or swiftly browse the internet).
7. Don't be a stranger - Always approach and engage with people, the main reason that you're going to attend this conference is Networking.
8. Remember also to take some time to yourself, eat a proper meal and charge your mental and physical energy.
9. Surround yourself with good people that you love, even if you just met briefly. You can exchange skype users and meet later on at the party. Good people = good energy.
10. Don't forget the MOST IMPORTANT THING - enjoy yourself and have tons of fun!
Good luck brother!
