Adwords Landingpage ( exit popup ) (7)
Hi there,
i am wondering about adding exit popup on my adwords landing pages. If you don't know what is exit popup, you can check it below. Popup will show just in case when user going with mouse up ( to close tab ). I will show this only on desktop. i heard adwords had strict rules for popups on landing page, so my question is, if someone sucesfully run popups on ladingpage in adwords. I want do it clean ( with visible close button, and just in case when user want close page ). Any tip's ? Thank you

It's explicitly stated on their policy so you'll always run the risk, even if it's not as annoying of a popup. Maybe someone has had success with this though.
I'm thinking about testing such an exit popup as well. I've seen these being used on many websites and I don't think you'll have issues with Adwords about it. They don't allow pop-ups/unders being displayed the moment the site loads or direct redirects (bridge pages), but this one is different.
I will try it slowly. Like i will show popups for Just 10% visitors, and will upgrade up to 100% in 30-60 days. I will share my experience to this post then.
exit pop up...from the landing page itself? could be tricky, as mentioned above...but if it pops up after a second or third page? not sure
a popup for an email capture on the page itself is legit...if it comes up after 5 seconds or so...
My popup won’t be for email capture. It will be just discount coupon.
Widely used, depends on your connection / work level with them.
Lot' of big brands using exit pops as well.
