ZeroPark sends Content Locking traffic?
Hello,
This is my first post, I'm new at STMforum but I have some years of experience in mobile performance marketing.
The advertiser of a carrier billing offer I was running with ZeroPark pops detected content locking traffic. Do you guys think it is possible that ZeroPark sends this type of traffic?
If so, this is means that the publisher unlocks the content of his website only if the visitor made a conversion on my offer (which is in the popup). It seems strange to me, but who knows.
I'm already in contact with ZeroPark support, I sent them stats and I'm waiting a reply. I'd like to know what STM members thinks about it.

Zeropark sells multiple types of traffic, it's very possible that content locking traffic will be in the mix. Even if they wouldn't allow it, some people simply will send it. The traffic you will get on zeropark, is pretty much the lowest quality traffic, all mixed together
That's why the prices are so low.
Content locking means that they require something from the users to show them what they are after ... can be just a click on a banner, or some link ... I don't think anyone would sell traffic to zeropark and set it up in a way that requires conversion on the offer, as they wouldn't have a chance to track it. Maybe someone screwed up something. Or maybe it's your LP that they considered a content locking setup, would this be possible? What kind of a LP are you using?

Hi Matuloo, congrats for your blog!
I was direct linking, it's a gaming offer and conversion rate was fine without much optimization. I will wait the reply from Zeropark staff, maybe they can tell me what is the target/source to block.

Thanks!
In order for ZP to be able to help you in some way, you would have to help them identify the traffic source somehow, they have 1000s of small placements so it's impossible to know them all. Ask your AM if they can help you identify the traffic that they had problems with, if they could tell you what clickids converted from the sources, that would help a lot.

Zeropark reporting in!
We can't agree with Matuloo regarding the quality of our traffic, we do a lot of work to get rid of the shady stuff and to provide the best possible quality, but we double the rest. It might happen that somebody will just send us the bad quality traffic, and it is in our best interest to allocate and take care of it. Therefore if you have any info about the shady traffic (like click ID's or IP ranges affected), don't hesitate to share it with your AM or ping to our support at support@zeropark.com.

Just to make sure we're on the same boat here, Quality of your traffic is in par with what kind of traffic it is ... redirects, pops ... this is the lowest quality by it's nature, not because you sell it.

Honestly I always had problems with conversion quality of Zeropark traffic. I used them first time 2/3 years ago and I stopped because the source from which i received conversions was spam on Facebook. I give it a try again this month and content locking traffic was detected by advertiser. I had to stop another campaing because conversions were almost all junk (hundreds of conversions per day). I know they are a big and successful company, but this my experience of promoting mobile carrier billing offers with them.

Yup, as I posted earlier in this thread, that's the nature of the traffic they are selling

Hard to beat the pricing though

Hey, @dadomi! Even if we don't consider your claim legit we would tell you that in an email. If you are still waiting for an answer, there might be something wrong with the initial email. Anyway, PM'd you to dig deeper into this issue.

I would try to send another one and give it a few days,
Voluum/ZP had a rather large team over at AWA, so that could explain the delay in communication. Plenty of people are experiencing the same with many companies right now, that's what usually happens during and shortly after a large conference.
