Not really, but it appears the general public are finally wisening up on rebills.
CBS article and FTC court order both popped up the past couple days.
What does the future hold for nutra?
FTC complaint here https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/doc...t_11-15-17.pdf
Why I think nutra isn't going anywhere:
a, The CBS article on PLS is not 100% factual, they are doing fine and did not hand over any data and are not under investigation.
b, A lot of the angles used are branded (see the injunction) and the problem is on the affiliate side, quest for ROI brings about a lot of problems when you are breaking the law, if everyone can chill out and be happy with making a lower return consistently there would be fewer of these cases.
c, The advertiser seems to have been the owner of all their corps which lends itself to the FTC
d, An FTC case does not mean FTC wins
e, The advertiser may have been aggressive in not refunding canceling accounts
There are a bunch more reasons why you shouldn't read too much into it, be smart and compliant and you won't find yourself in this situation.

Same guys
What's pretty funny is the FTC talked about negative option where if you don't cancel you get charged. I guess the FTC will be going after Amazon Prime and Netflix for this as they too will charge you if you don't opt out.
However, these guys were way over the top with their claims, use of celebrities, etc.
The feds definitely like to throw a bunch of shite against the wall when it comes to indictments, which helps them to force a settlement. No wonder the feds have well over a 90% conviction rate.
If you run your nutra biz legitimately, there's no reason to think the sky is falling.
