Hey there,
I just got into FB and my campaigns objective are all "Clicks to my site". It has an ROI of 50%-90% on a bright sunny day and im tracking through
FYI: i'm currently cloaking but my campaigns are more or less "compliant", i just prefer to run them the aggressive way. If i use the "Conversions" objecting i will have to make them more compliant just to be able to work with facebook pixel.
I'd love to hear your inputs on this,
Thank you.

I have always suggested using conversions for everyone as you get so much more quality traffic(but more expensive!). Also, you have possibility to play around with custom audience, retargeting and few more cool gadgets to get higher ROI.
But as I understand, conversions doesn't work for everyone. I had a long chat about them with someone doing sweeps, she is doing fairly good, mid xx.xxx months with facebook traffic. She told me that she NEVER got conversions(lead) to work, as cpc's go so up and quality does not get much better, so end of day she is having similar quality traffic with smaller amount of clicks with same budget.
My point is, test it! Definitely worth of test. Keep in mind, it takes 3-4 days for pixel to optimize. Do not close traffic same day because bad results.
My experience with LLA on sweeps is also not mindblowing. I had some good shots yes, but mostly injecting msisdn didn't gave me better results. This might also be relevant to choosing "conversions" over "clicks to website".
My theory, people who join sweeps aren't really easy to put in certain box. I think just shooting on the masses brings you the best results at the end, where FB algo might create a LLA based on several things what creates a non/less relevant target group for sweeps.
I mean, come on, in theory everyone is eager to win an iPhone or Supermarket voucher right? Depends on the vertical too I guess...
If you can work with partners who allow to place the pixel on the page, you can now run a conversion campaign that will start as a link clicks (website traffic) campaign then it will go back to a conversions campaign once it has enough data on the users who convert.
This is how Im running on some campaigns now but Ill split test it with Link Clicks tomorrow though to see how much it really helps, as SUK has a point EVERYONE WANTS THIS SHIT
Sorry to call you SUK mate, apologies in advance if it catches on
Stickup, Media ... I can feel the love guys, do we have a new couple in the making on STM?

On the thread subject ... based on the info I have, conversion objective will bring you better quality traffic, but the price increase coming with it will ruin the camps in case of lower payout offers/products. This would explain why sweeps, that are generally on the lower end when it comes to payouts, would not work well with it.
