Traffic is running, but no Voluum stats?

Hi guys, I'm brand new and this is literally my first campaign so I probably messed something up on my end but in the PropellerAds dashboard it says I have gotten 664 impressions for a total cost of $1.50, although 0 conversions. However, in Voluum for this campaign there are no stats appearing.

I am wondering what the potential cause of this could be? I am worried that I entered the incorrect offer link into Voluum...

Seems to be an incorrect URL entered. Pause the camp and double check you have copied the campaign url exactly as it is per Voluum. Your costs won't come through but impressions will if it is set up correctly. URL should be something like this: http://xxxxxx.voluumtrk.com/8ac56e11-a6bb-4c7a-b5d6-c0cb1760fa09?zoneid={zoneid}&campaignid={campaigni d}&visitor_id=${SUBID}

To make your life easier you can also edit the camp and track costs per CPC which would then be 1.5/664*1.1 to get a rough estimate of costs whilst running the camp.

Hey!

Most probably the mistake is somewhere in the URL stage of setting up the campaign. Did you enter the link from Voluum into your PropellerAds campaign, or you used the offer link there? Did you use the PropellerAds template as a traffic source setup?

There are plenty of things that could go wrong with the setup, you can read more about it in here. In any case, feel free to PM us your Voluum email so we could dig deeper into this problem and help you out!

I used the campaign link from Voluum which is why I'm surprised that nothing was coming through. My guess is that when I entered the offer links into Voluum, they were incorrect?

I double checked and they are exactly the same. If my offer links form Mobidea were incorrectly entered into Voluum could that cause the problem?

I ask because I am following Vortex's guide and I noticed that her offer links were different from mine in the following way:

mine look like this: http://www.rotationurls.com/offer/xxxxxx|xxxxxx?data1=Track1&data2=Track2&tag={Exter nal_ID_from_traffic_source}

She did not include the {External_ID_from_traffic_source} in the guide and I am not sure if this is influencing anything.

My other guess would be that the postback URL isn't correct but I am quite sure it is.

Mobidea is great in every way - but the way they have tokens set up is confusing.

I had a discussion with them some time ago about using {{DATA2}} vs. {{DATA3}} - will verify with them what this {External_ID_from_traffic_source} tag is. Will report back. Apologies for the confusion!

I'll test out the &tag={clickid} arrangement now and update the guide as soon as it's verified to work.

Thanks you all for your feedback - things are in a constant state of change, so I'm counting on all of you to point out when something no longer works. This tutorial is a joint effort - can't do this without all of you.

Hi Amy, it appears that Voluum is tracking things properly for me now, although I haven't made a conversion since I noticed this so still waiting to see if it correctly gets the postback from Mobidea.

I will add that Mobidea support told me to use the Voluum preset in the "Global Postback" section, and to enter the subdomain of my secure postback URL in Voluum. This might be useful for some of the other people have problems to know as well.

After reading this thread I was expecting &tag={Exter nal_ID_from_traffic_source} at the end of the offer URL but I've found this kind of URL:

I've just asked some information to Mobidea and I would share with you all what I've been told.

Mobidea explained to me this is an URL update made approximatively 3 weeks ago for affiliates who what to track this information as well.

Anyway URL link can work 100% right even if we remove the last part &website={subID}&placement={sub_subID}
Changing this will not affect the correctness of the offer's, that was my concern.

Hope this can help other friends with my same doubt.

Another update! Thanks Mattia for letting me know! Will update the tutorial shortly to reflect this.

This is the one major drawback of step-by-step guides: They have to be updated CONSTANTLY. And since I can't go through all the steps every day to see what has changed, I'm largely counting on all of you to let me know when there's a change. So thank you SO much for letting me know!
