Aliexpress TV campaign for 11-11 and aliexpress haul videos

Pretty sure this is on TV in other countries as well, but was still surprised to see a commercial from Aliexpress - in Dutch - on Dutch TV.
They are promoting their 11-11 shopping day and you can see the commercials here: https://www.youtube.com/user/AliExpressChannel

Needless to say, more and more people will be shopping direct on Aliexpress. So if you only rely on them as your source for products, it'll get tougher and tougher. As was discussed in another thread.

I was suprised to see how many "haul" video's there are, related to Aliexpress - almost 600,000: https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...liexpress+haul

They seem pretty popular too, especially if people think they can get a bargain. Check out the video page here and see how much more the "haul" video was watched (compared to her other videos): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqK...5gmYOTA/videos

Check the comments and see:
- people talking about fakes
- people asking for links to where they can buy
- people asking about long shipping times

All interesting stuff which can teach you a lot

Yah I agree 100% This along with Gurus pushing Shopify is going to make it more saturated for sure. Good marketing will still prevail however as most people are doing bare minimum. My only thing is if aliexpress dropshipping becomes outlawed by FB and Google. that could be a problem.

Will be running my Dropshipping store and affiliate campaigns and reinvesting profits into starting a real brand that has major differentiating factors.

Looking forward to seeing your journey as well Pekadis!

Great reminder pekadis! And great points brought up by pavel - good marketing and demo-targeting can go a long way too.

And aliexpress would still be a very convenient way to test the market due to the sheer number of products they have available. Once it is proven that a product can sell well to a certain demographic using a certain angle, and the CR is determined, then sourcing the product directly can be a good next step.

It will make things tougher, but will not be a major issue, because most customers will be instant buyers.

Everyone knows Amazon, but this system still works, because most people don't compare prices to Amazon. (If they did, they would prefer to buy similarly priced item from there because of many user feedback and brand trust).

Gurus pushing this model will increase competition for sure
