I am asking in behalf of a friend.
He applied for a TrafficSource recently (TrafficJunky) on my recommendation and they allowed him to start an account. But he is not allowed to add funds unless he can bring in a referral from another reputed TrafficSource that vouches for him to have run traffic with them for 3 months or more.
He is a new affiliate and cant provide such referrals. I think he asked another TrafficSource for a referral and they said no lol. Did this ever happen to anyone here and how did your resolve it?
Some traffic sources start to be picky lately, several people had problems like this with exoclick, but I don't remember anyone else would complain about TJ.
Since he can't provide the references, he might try to negotiate a larger initial deposit via a wire or something like that. Tell him to explain his situation and ask if any kind of extra verification would help his case - ID, some kind of bill etc ...
If nothing helps, tell him to join some other network and after some time, re-apply to TJ. Another option would be to reach out to them personally on some affiliate conference.
