So have finally seen first hand proof of Facebook of what I have been hearing about for a while. Been using Facebook adds for about a month. Then last night I submitted about 22 ads and 11 were approved and 11 not approved. The reason for most being disapproved being "The content promoted in your ad or Sponsored Story violates Facebook's Advertising Guidelines". The Facebook team is not singing from the same hymn sheet.
Have paused all of them now, don't want problems later on with Facebook bringing down the hammer.
Why did they approve 11 of them though?!
Sometimes I think it is because they can. No particular reason. I have had the same problem. Several ads approved and some disapproved.... and all content previously approved, just a different age group split. I have also had ads running for 2 weeks and then got an e-mail saying they violated their guidelines. It would be a big help if they would say exactly what is wrong, not just refer you to their guidelines.
It's 100% Russian roulette. There is no consistency among their approvals/disaprovals
Yerp. Just be careful - if a bunch get disapproved for violations expect retro-disapproval later on when some completely new intern checks up on your campaign.
There is no reason to what they do
But watch those approval/disapproval ratios. Work to keep it high
