Foreign Dating on FB (10)

Foreign Dating on FB

I was instructed to run foreign dating on FB by my aff manager. I just checked in Compete.com and it showed less than 2K visitors and the other offer was under 500.

Either he is trying to BS me or something is a miss.

I was going to do some spying but now I am beside myself and ready to think of something else to run.

Any ideas?

BTW the countries were Mexico and Argentina

Thanks,
CZ

Look in the upper left corner after searching for a site on Compete.com. You should see text similar to "October 2011 / U.S. Data Only"

Cross check: Does it seem reasonable that Google Brazil would only get 267,000 visitors each month in a country of nearly 200 million people?

(Alexa's better for this kind of thing, though you won't see stats on the number of monthly visitors... At least, not as far as I can tell. You can see how the site in question ranks in various countries, though.)

Argentina was the first (and only) country to give me 2,000 leads in one day via FB. (not dating, tho) Margins were slim, tho.

All I care about right now is why I cannot get a single ad approved for France. Shit is getting me pissed off. I know that they removed the "Interested In" option, but before they used to allow ads through without that option being selected for France. Now; nothing gets approved.

...and I thought it was just me. I put a google smiley face on there that was linked to google just to see what would happen. Denied. Fucking savages...

I got a bunch of French daters approved last night on the first shot, but it took about 12 hours for the review to happen.

It's funny that they removed the "Interested In" option altogether. i guess FB figured that the French are all interested in anything they can get their mime-lovin' hands on!

yeah, France, strange country, I'm french, living far far away. A law, to protect sexual orientation discrimination, force FB to not provide the ability to select this as a target..... mostly for gay people discrimination. I want to target : men interested in men. NO you cant. Always wondered why this 'Interested In' radio button disappear when you target France ? this is why. just cloak...

Was just about to answer with this:

It's because of a lawsuit.

How about men interested in a Ménage à trois ? It's French after all!

Never had any problems with dating in France. But it's true that you have to be careful with your targeting and your adcopy.
Also note that you'll have to deal with french skepticism. Don't expect them to think: "oh my god, free bitches that love nerds on BeNaughty, please take my money"
