List Building With Facebook (16)
So I have recently realised that I have 28k fans from only 2 facebook pages which I HAVE NOT PROMOTED AT ALL!
With the new updates, your pages go viral really fast and so it is definitely also something that I would like to try out.
I mean it is much much easier getting someone to "like" a fanpage instead of them entering their email address.
With them liking your fanpage, you also get their exact demogprahics, what they like, their age, what they listen to, what they watch etc.
So we definitaly need to use that to our advantage and make some monies
I'd integrate Aweber to build an actual list in return for a freebie giveaway.
Build up a relationship with the list members. Don't start trying to sell to them off the bat. Over time that would be gold.

hmate9 - maybe you could share how you got 28k fans to your pages, i don't do FB fan pages currently but have it on the radar.
Likes are good but capturing the emails is better. Use one of the fb connect / fb optin scripts out there to make it as easy as possible for folk to optin to your list.
And like profitable suggests -> I would welcome some views on how you got this many likes
I have been advertising a little and got 188 likes so far in a week to the aff marketer demographic (SEO tools) for SEHabitat. I will be creating more ads etc... I also have an "enter your email address to get on the waiting list" box but I think my page could be improved a LOT.
I would also like to know your opinion on how you got 28k likes, etc... It sounds like you're suggesting it was because you provided useful updates and people shared them.
offer them a free ebook in exchange for the email. also, drip free reports in exchange for an email to get stragglers that don't signup right away.
the more value, the longer the list lasts :-)
How old are your pages?
With Facebook pages you usually want to interact with them A LOT! Some promo, some legit stuff, but keep your page at the top of their mind (without overdoing it)

for max results (imho) you want to also add a welcome content reveal page and integrate the fbfist in there ... TabPress of hyperarts works pretty well and allows you to display different content depending on fan vs non-fan....
