FYI I didn't proof this one bit hope it makes sense!
One of the things I always think about in regards to AM is "how long will it take?" to become successful or at least see a profitable campaign. So I will detail my journey from beginning to now.
I first found out about AM from a guy I met a the bank I work at and I remember bullshitting with him for a bit and he gave me TWO bits of info WF and nickycakes newbie guide. I went home read the guide and started applying to networks to get the show on the road. I don't remember exactly how much time went by but I finally was excepted by A4D and that's where it all started getting my first campaign approved on Feb. 23, 2011. and the Numbers are as follows!
FYI I didn't even run that first campaign I didn't know what to do LOL, So no stats on February.

This was the best month I have had since starting AM I hit a couple milestones in this particular month 95% of that was made in just a couple days and I had consecutive days of $300+ days of profit not rev. . . my best day was like $850/day (PROFIT)! BUT as you are about to see I have not been able to get to the same level of success. . . YET!

as you can see I do not have an gimp skills but fuck it. . . . it worked lol. FYI this was not a profitable campaign for ME! but it was the same idea!
I am wanting to hit at least another decent campaign before years end hopefully!

Most people would of given up after the results you had in May.
The stubborness you showed is the difference between making it and not. From March to September you were unprofitable for 6 out of the 7 months. But that one profitable month covered all your losses plus added an extra $3,000 to your cash flow. Your last two months definitely show promising signs.

I still don't understand what possessed me to spend that much money with that poor of a return.
I remember my family and friends asking me why I would spend so much money on something that "obviously" doesn't provide a positive ROI, and my answer is I spent how many thousands of dollars and time on a college degree, so why wouldn't I do the same for something that I actually enjoy doing. People have to understand that this isn't a get rich quick, super easy money, not a real job, kind of job.
Plus it's the only thing I have ever done in my life that is actually a challenge.
Stubbornness is the key to making this work even though I am positive overall I still feel like I should have attained better results. Psychologically it's straining to stay positive. The right mind set and encouragement from my wife has gotten me through the tougher times for sure. I know a lot of people think self help books are retarded but I would recommend anyone and everyone to read Think and Grow Rich, and Secrets of the Millionaire Mind.

Lol the guys in that video need to smoke something chronic and chill.
I was over 2k in the red before I saw any positive ROIs (just with Facebook spend, excluding all IM related purchases/sub fees). I remember my friends sort of looking at me and saying, ummm, okay? Don't really understand what you're doing but w/e. Then when I hit my first profit boom I realised just how true it is that you are paying for data and learning how NOT to do things, how NOT to start campaigns, how NOT to write ad copy, how NOT to fuck up big time etc.
Then everything becomes more cruisy because you have faith in what you are doing and know that every failed campaign is another snippet of knowledge you own for that niche/traffic source/angle.

This mp3 is hands down the best motivational audio i've listen too and i've listen to alot of stuff and in my opinion they took there concepts from Napolean Hill. Everything else seems like a water down version after listen to Napolean in his own voice.

I am going to update this one more time in march. But I thought it would be cool to do a fiscal and calendar update so this is the calendar up date for 2011.
Since starting in September I have made 3000 of which I will report to the IRS but the number I have been keeping track of is just ad rev - ad spend to get net profit which is closer to 5000.
The smaller number has stuff like internet service, mobile services, paying for services like STM, buy office supplies. Anything to not have to pay taxes essentially lol.
I will update this one last time in March to see what I have been able to accomplish in a 12 month span!
I am happy with being profitable in a 9 month span I'm sure other have far exceeded my accomplishments but I'm happy none the less!

I didn't really even realize I have been profitable that many months until I start putting this post together good stuff!
So what 6 out of the 7 last months I have been profitable, but as you can tell this is nothing to be TOO excited about after all I am still required to work my 9-5. . .maybe in the next six months I can work on working a 10-3 retail part-time job?!?!?! hopefully!
Overall I think this is a good start into what I have been trying to accomplish. It doesn't seem like a year is coming up. I feel like I wasted lots of time especially the last three months which I was rather unproductive. But I will definitely be more dedicated moving forward. I have started devoting a portion of everyday learning HTML so I can start creating my own lander, jotting down any idea that I come across so that when I am ready I can start exploring them.
Hope people find my follow along on PPV helpful and will be joining again once I get PPV down pat and need to learn some more skills!
