Guys, how to avoid being spied by adplexity or similar services ? Thanks
I heared about that"Many sup aff know how to protect their creatives", and seeing lots of my landers are in adplexity disturbed me a lot.
Not talking about avoiding landers ripped 100%, just try to minimum the damage.
Anyone can lead a way?
thanks a lot!

I don't think there is a way to make it happen 100%.
It a constant cat and mouse game. Cloakers come up with new methods and AdPlexity catches up.
I think you better focus on having some other edge apart from just the lander.

Main issue with Adplexity is its getting pushed to networks&advertisers and that's no fun for anyone

Networks already know how affiliates run offers, they just like to play dumb most of the time since it's convenient
Advertisers, also most of them know. Issues arise only when regulators from the carriers find out.

Yep - often times, affiliates are just scapegoats.

Not a bad idea for a SaaS platform...

A relevant quote from another STMer nickpeplow
"Your best bet is to use hijack scripts that steal a percentage of traffic from anyone who rips your lander. Their CTR will look poor and they will pause the lander (while you get the clicks). affkit.com has a good one that works well, just get a bit creative about where you hide the code. The more people who boobytrap their landers, the more the fear of using the tools grows."

The big issue with that is that as soon as a platform is big enough to matter when it comes to cloaking, the spy tools have the strategic advantage. They are the ones dictating the pace of the game. If a cloaking service can overcome that, it would be interesting - even for legit white hat campaigns (to keep stuff hidden). If the use would be purely hiding black hat campaigns, I think it ends up being a losing battle for the long term.

Of course they always knew. But until Adplexity they never had such an easy way to see the entire funnel and get clear, easy proof. And it doesn't affect just mobile subscription offers.

In short, most people would gladly make money even from shady practices - and would only intervene when risks of nonpayment (from advertiser to aff network) or risks of the offer getting shut down (for the advertisers) become too great for the amount of revenue you're generating.
This is why I always advise for affiliates to keep their AMs informed of any shady/illegal practices. Many AMs would actually help you out to minimize risks of nonpayment for the both of you, by telling you which offers to stay away from because the advertiser is strict about enforcing rules.
As for the advertiser / offer owner, most would not want to take on too much risk, because there's investment involved in setting up offers and establishing good relationships with carriers etc. So they tend to be less flexible about compliance (with local laws and regulations) than the aff networks are.

As for how to keep your creatives out of Adplexity - there are ways. You can play the cat and mouse game as bbrock mentioned, or advertise through channels where spy tools are not rampant - like FB and Adwords.
