Newbie Adult Tube - $xxx/day Goal (5)
Hi everyone, it was suggested by Matuloo that I start a follow along thread, so here it is. I'll try to keep this thread updated weekly with what my goals are on Mondays and the results on Sunday.
My main motivation for starting a porn tube was to create a traffic source where I could eventually run and test affiliate campaigns on. Traffic is still tiny so most of my time is currently spent on trying to drive visitors to the site.
As for the affiliate stuff, I've just been promoting the usual stuff which are cams, paysites. Nothing has really hit yet as you'll see in the stats below. I will try out the adult dating stuff this month.

October so far looks like it will double everything from September. I will update total stats at the end of the month.
What I'm working on this week:
- Improve horrible page load time for videos
- Rip a few dating banners and landers to test
- Scale up social media promotion

Can you share some more numbers regarding the traffic?
Id like to know what your time-on-site numbers look like, what are the various impressions per visit figures that you are getting - for different traffic types.
Where the traffic comes from - SE, bought, traded ... do you trade traffic at all?
And don't hesitate to throw the sites URL in here too, I might be able to suggest some changes to the layout
Looks like your traffic is slowly growing, which is good - in case it's organic from the most part of course.
Exoclick will give you the most revenue for banner spots, so a good choice again.
Careful with the POPs, we both know google is not a bit fan of them. Definitely stay away from mobile redirect if you're ever tempted to test them

The time on sites and bounce rates look ugly indeed, especially for a tube ... it's pretty weird actually. Is this a tube where you actually play the videos on your site or one of those fake tubes that just link to videos on other tubes?
For trading, you need a script that is capable of handling it, what are you running the tube on? Mechbunny used to be the best one : https://www.mechbunny.com/
You can trade in several ways, list of top sites at the bottom, links anywhere on the site, skimming part of the traffic to trades, listing videos from other tubes ... ever notices how you got redirected to a different site when you clicked something on a tube for example.
Check out plugrush too, you can place their widgets on your site and get some fresh traffic back from others in the system.
In order to get some SE traffic, you need custom descriptions for the videos and some solid links, trading with established tubes helps too.

Trading Unavailable. We are working on a number of important improvements to our trading system. It will unfortunately be unavailable during this period, but will be back in the not too distant future.
What do you think about buying traffic from PlugRush for a tube? Although I guess it wouldn't hurt to try haha
