Voluum - Failed Payment Method (help)

9/27 UPDATE --- RESOLVED! Thank you! Please feel free to remove this thread if it's redundant!

Hi guys!

I was so pumped to get started yesterday but upon registering and paying for my Voluum subscription, my credit card bugged out and it did not go through. I tried to change the payment method to PayPal but now the profile is stuck even if I'm logged in and wouldn't let me add campaign or navigate freely.

I submitted a support ticket as the only "contact us" I found but they haven't gotten back to me in the 24hours. How else can I contact them? Can't seem to find a Skype ID or phone number...

Is there a Voluum rep on STM? I would love to resolve this ASAP and get moving with my first campaign!

Thank you,

Alan

Hey there Alan!

If this becomes too much of a hassle for you, Thrivetracker offers 30-day free trials. We could get you up and running in a hurry, and you'd have a month of tracking at no cost to you! We've got a number of advantages over a Voluum install, so if you're intrigued at all, feel free to DM me for more info

Cheers,

Hey Stephen!

Thanks for your response and offer. I actually JUST got Voluum back up and working. Hahah. I will keep Thrivetracker in mind though if I need an alternative down the road.

Take care!

Cheers,
I'm really wondering how much business this approach of yours is bringing you, looking at your past responses, all you're doing is picking any minor mistake of your competitors and pitching your tracking solution ... not sure if this is the best approach

Why is it not the best approach? He's recommending his product to someone who's having issues with a competitor's product.

Can't fault a man for hustling and trying to increase his business. He's promoting his product to his target customers just like everyone on this forums is promoting a product/service to their target customer.

What's wrong with it?

Everyone is entitled to run their business in whatever way they deem is right for them, no reason to argue here I'm sure you understand that as a moderator, I get to monitor all the threads and replies that are posted on STM... I don't mind if someone points out their advantages over a competitor, actually I do welcome that ... but once it becomes the only activity of a poster and when even a billing issue becomes a reason to jump in ... I simply had to say my word Especially when it comes from someone who basically committed a PR suicide here on the forum, without getting all that much heat in return

Apologies, matuloo, but would you mind speaking with me about the supposed "PR suicide" I committed? I'd value your feedback on what you're referring to and any other advice you have for me on how to properly conduct business in STM.

Thanks for the encouragement!

I mean the period of complete silence when Thrive changed ownership ... not sure if you were in charge at that time, so that "you" was supposed to mean the company itself, not you personally

We went through a period of public silence as we addressed our users privately - you are correct on this point. We made this decision, as a team, so that we could address our current customers in the most appropriate manner. The public opinion was not of the same value as those who were our current clients (I believe any committed business owner/manager would say the same thing regarding the general public vs actual clientele). It was best to spend our time gathering information from those who were already working with us and then circle back around to the public forum to address the concerns of many who were not even current Thrivetracker users.

Loyalty to those who work with you over those who simply want to talk about you.
While this approach may be considered as "PR suicide", it's also the best possible way to do business, in our team's joint opinion.
If we are to be looked down upon for this, so be it. Public opinion is always going to be beyond our control.

However, as you mentioned, you encourage representatives to point out our advantages over a competitor. I would hope that you're not going to fault me for doing something you encourage.

Of course not, do it whenever you see fit ... not sure if a billing problem is a disadvantage of your competitor, but if you feel it's worth it, then obviously go for it and reap the "rewards" that result from it, both positive and negative
