Bing Ads + Clickbank (4)

Bing Ads + Clickbank

Hey all - hoping for some advice here.

I launched a Bing + Clickbank campaign. I started the campaign with high bids to get my CTR nice and high. The campaign converted amazing off the bat at a high position, but it wasn't profitable at that CPC so I dropped my bids.

Then, the conversion rate took a nosedive when I was showing in a lower position and wasn't able to make it profitable.

Has anyone seen this or noticed that a higher position (in Bing or Adwords) will convert significantly better than a lower position?

From my experience in search I've actually seen the opposite - the middle or lower positions convert better than the highest positions, a "sweet spot" where you don't just get a bunch of tire-kicker clicks.

A little confused here and want to see if anyone can share their own experience or have some advice about this.

Thanks!

My guess is that you need to dig deeper into the keyword that was giving the conversions. Look into the search queries that your keywords generated, and find the converting queries. Then you can add those exact match keywords into your campaign.
