Tracking Afflow clicks in Voluum
Hi, I'm trying to understand some basics here.
In afflow aggregated data, clicks are recorded, visits are not.

In Voluum, visits are recorded, clicks are not.

I suppose it's because I'm charged by cpm so there are no clicks recorded, right?
So in Afflow CVR = # of leads / # of clicks. (i.e 5/779 = 0.64% for row iOS)
But in Voluum CV = # of leads(conversions) / # of visits (i.e 5/1027 = 0.49% for row iOS)
But these two rates are not comparable. The second one will always be lower given CTR < 1.
Because
# of visits * CTR = # of clicks.
# of clicks * CVR = # of leads.
therefore, # of visits * CTR * CVR = # of leads.
that is CTR * CVR = # of leads / # of visits.
therefore CV in voluum = CTR * CVR, where CTR is 0 to 1.
If that's the case, how can I track clicks or calculate CVR so I can compare my data with Afflow aggregated data.
Thanks!

Voluum only tracks visits because you are direct linking, if you were using a Landing Page, those that would click through it would be recorded as clicks in Voluum.
So every visit that goes through visit is automatically redirected to afflow, which records it as a click (that's just a matter of how they named it) ... the number is always lower due to some clickloss which is inevitable. Since you are paying for visits at the source (I assume its pops), you need to look at voluums data to calculate the real costs of conversions ... I'm pretty sure that if you look at the numbers at the traffic source, they will be higher than what voluum recorded again ... which would mean some more clickloss.
This is one of the annoyances that you have to deal with and there is not much you can do about it other than optimizing the loading speeds of your funnel, which is out of question when directlinking as there is nothing to optimize.

Hi Matuloo,
I ran into the same problem (huge clickloss). Voluum recorded 777 visits while Afflow recorded 280 clicks. What do you think could be the problem of such huge clickloss?
Thank youu
