When your account gets banned on FB, do they just remove your ability to advirtise or do they shut down your whole account (with all your photos, friends, personal stuff etc)?
always use a separate account for advertising on FB
Cheers hd2010, I have 2 accounts so I'll definately use my second, non important one
I haven't heard of anyone losing their personal account when the attached advertising portion goes down. I don't think Facebook wants to kick out active users of their giant social media platform - if anything they want every person on the planet online posting on their walls. Besides, if you are spending money on advertising it's clear you have money, thus are more likely to inject money into FB through FB credits, games etc. So you have some value.
I had three accounts banned...but can still log in to one of them that has a personal bit, the ads link is there but comes up with the payment problem message. Anyway, created a new ad only account this week with the same name but new credit card number.
This is me purely talking out of my ass, but I feel like your activity on the "personal" side of the account sways decisions Facebook makes regarding your advertising account. I've had my facebook personal account since 2006, and I'm very active on it. My spending limit started at 250, and within 3 days of advertising (not even like...50 dollars a day spend?) they bumped my account to 2000. My suggested bids are also insanely low for started in countries that I've never even advertised in before. Anyone else with an equally active/old personal facebook account tied in with their advertising account that can chime in?
They absolutely will ban your personal profile. I lost mine.
Advertise on a separate account.
It was an oldish account but zero activity on the personal bit apart from friend requests that I had ignored anyway.
Guess I won't be cloaking rebills with my personal account then xD
