Hey Yohai,

Don't worry much about setting up a site.

If you have one - good, if not - you will be still fine.

You are part of STM and you can take that fact as your advantage - mention it in your applications.

Even better - you can directly find and contact network reps here on STM: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...kype-Directory

Just be honest with everyone.

The majority of affiliates are running solo, so trying to make out you're some big company can come across a little cheesy.

I think a personal domain name, that redirects to your linkedin profile comes across quite classy when starting out. You can even just put your LinkedIn profile link as the "website"

Hey Yohai,

You definitely don't need a website, and definitely not one where you oversell yourself as a big company. That said, it's always useful to show yourself as being serious and professional. Nick's suggestion is quite good for that I think.

Hi Yohaimor, we are Wewe Media Network, I could help to answer in the point of view of a network.

I would recommend this to help you get accepted into various affiliate networks.

- Run a few campaigns if you are registered on any network. A proof of revenue shows that you are a legit affiliate and not a scammer
- Be very detailed on what you want to promote, which traffic source you want to promote, what's the tools that you are using, why you want to promote that offers and why that traffic sources. That shows that you have the proper knowledge/experience
-
Personal website isn't necessary for all network, but it's a plus point if you have one. It's a background check for us, network.
- Most likely there will be a skype call arranged by the network, It's extremely recommended that you pick up the call and talk to the reps.

Hope it helps and all the best

You can also google a bunch of professionally designed free responsive templates which makes it VERY easy to set up a page quickly.
https://themeforest.net/ is a good source. Might be worth stumping up a small amount for a good theme.

Here's a tool that may help:

https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...shing-1-Button

(Please make sure you'll logged into the forum before accessing it.)

Pay special attention when filling out the part where you get to write a self-intro - many networks are willing to take on newbies, but let them know you are serious about AM and have the drive to succeed. Being an STM member is always a plus. They basically want to make sure they won't be doing a lot of hand-holding just to have you give up and disappear on them before they can recap their investment (of time) on you.

Making a personal site can be another way of showing networks that you're serious about your business/career in AM (enough so to be spending time on making a website), but like others have said, it's by no means mandatory. Personally I don't feel it's necessary. All you need in the beginning is get into a couple / a few good solid networks with a wide range of offers. Once you have more experience, most of the other networks would love to work with you (and by that time, you'll have a much better idea on which vertical / offer types you want to focus on, so can seek out networks that are strong in those areas).

So don't overthink things in the beginning. Just keep signing up until you have at least a few strong ones like I've mentioned, and start running camps and go from there.

I wonder why not more newbies are using it, maybe we should link it from the main menu.
