Any money in desktop

Are people still running Desktop pop campaigns?

Is there any money left in it or is it just full of bots?

Hey there!

Definitely the payouts are lower (since most of the traffic is wifi, which is cheaper than 3G in general), there is more bot traffic, and I believe it gets more and more difficult to get a conversion.. Besides, among all the internet users, majority uses phones in order to have access

I meant Desktop CPI, from what I remember it used to be quite big a couple of years ago.

But I guess it's not that interesting these days with stricter browsers, adblockers and more bots.

I just posted a new article on my blog two days ago, part of it were questions that I sent to a few affiliate managers and one of the networks actually mentioned that browser extensions is one of their most stable verticals, which is actually a desktop CPI.

Here is an excerpt from the blog :

3. Stable verticals on the Addiliate network are traditionally browser extensions, gaming, dating, binary and payday loan campaigns. They have been making great numbers in the past for us and we foresee this trend to continue seamlessly in the short and mid term future. That being said, we are always hunting for new campaigns and verticals to test out and scale.
So I'd say these are still a valid option, but the BOT traffic is a large problem indeed, desktop POPs are polluted with it very heavily.

Desktop is doing really well lately. Maybe because of the low competition, since everyone is focused on Mobile and Native traffic.
