Hey codebyte,
Did you make the landing page yourself or did you rip it from AdPlexity?
Generally, CTR is higher if you use all the tricks in the book. Might not always help CVR but generally does.
Cheers,
Manu.

I ripped them from Adplexity.
I will try a higher bid and see if that raises the CTR.

Did you edit the landers? How familiar are you with JavaScript?
Seems like you might have taken out a back button hijack script that is prevalent in pop landers.

Upping bid to get more data in, hopefully conversion data, seems like a good step at this point.
How are you cutting placements? I'd say only the 1st placement should be cut.
Also, have you tested for bot traffic?

Yea i did translate or change the landers myself. A lot of them were straight up saying "You have won" or similar.
So i changed it to something like "You have won a spot in our raffle".
Do i have to be more "aggressive" and make them think they have won without actually saying so?
I will check for the back button script.

I haven't cut any placements yet.
How should i test for bot traffic?
I will launch 2 new campaigns with $2CPM and $3CPM, 3G only with a lower budget and see how that goes.

It's not the copy which is my main concern now, it's that you may have deleted some of those scripts. Let us know once you checked. Most likely that's the reason behind your low CTR now.

You should make sure that your lander is clean from old scripts to avoid any sneaky redirect as well as have a clear idea on what is going on with your traffic.
Knowing the results of the scripts present in your lander, you have a batter idea where the clicks are coming from. Check out Amy's guide on How to Fix Up Ripped Landers
Also the first 6 or so placements don't look very promising. Try cutting them out, since their CTR and Cost is harming your overall campaign performance.

I did clean up the landers, replaced all jquery files, removed javascript etc.
A little too much i guess, i removed all the back button scripts as well.
I will add them back to all landingpages.
Should i also use an exit popup?

Split test that one - it almost always depends. Sometimes it was better, sometimes worse for me.

Actually, sorry, likely doesn't apply in this case. If you have a lot of clicks, and analyse IP reports seeing certain IPs with a lot of clicks, then that's a sign of bot traffic.

$1.20 CPM
4 Sweepstakes offers - Average payout ~$2.40
7 Landing Pages
Here are the stats grouped by landingpage so far. The CTR is horrible. "Best" performing lander has a CTR of 0.42%.
So either my landingpages or the traffic must be utter trash right? Or both?
Here are my stats grouped by zoneid
The campaign i ran before this was the same bid, same country, sweepstakes as well and it wasn't this bad.
CTR ~1% and ROI -35% and that was before cutting placements. Unfortunately the offer got paused before i could get to that.
If i were to cut those placements with most views i wouldn't get any traffic and the CTR would still be very bad.
So i guess i need to increase my bid to get some decent traffic?
I think the most important thing we have to verify is your setup. These are the things I would check:
1)The speed of your DNS - for both your
Voluum domain and lander domain. This thread may help:
https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...ighlight=speed
2)Check whether your lander domain has been flagged by google.
3)Lander loading speed. Also use browserstack to make sure they're being displayed correctly on all major devices. Also click through all landers from your desktop and mobile device to make sure they function properly (preferably, check this from both android and IOS devices - or use an emulator if you don't have access to both).
If you're using some of the most popular landers, and as many as 7, then there's no way that the extremely-low CTR is caused by lander theme/text being bad. (OK - I suppose anything would be possible - but chances would be very slim.)
It could also be that you're just running in a geo where people on average are less willing to click on ads. Still, even for the worst geos, I have never seen quite such low CTRs.
Could you upload your landers somewhere? Wouldn't hurt for us to help you look through the code.

Nice! CTRs DO look much better!
AU visitors hate clicking on pop ads. 1% CTR isn't abnormal.
Best of luck on those camps - looking promising!

I thought so as well, but unfortunately

No idea why it doesn't convert anymore today. Kept cutting placements but didn't help either.
Should have probably stopped it earlier and not wasted so much money.

That's unfortunate - you were almost breaking even...
Have you checked with your AM to make sure it's not because something happened with the offer?
