Understanding how Afflow works (7)

Hi,

I'm trying to understand how Afflow works here. I got a few questions.

1. What's the point of whitelisting geo in Afflow link settings if only one offer is targeted? Does it mean I only want that offer from that geo, even though it's also available in other geos?

2. What happens if some one from another geo converts using my link? Does this conversion belong to me?

3. Since I target only one offer, why do I see clicks from other offers? Some one else sending traffic from other offers to me?

1. Correct, if you're using whitelist targeting, then you'll only target whatever is in your whitelist.
2. Yes, this is unlikely though, but if this happens, you may need to rethink your Geo targeting.
3. With all targeting, there will be some leaks from sources outside of your targeting. If it's a relatively low number, then there's nothing to worry about. If it's higher, then contact Afflow or whoever and they'll generally refund you.

No shame in noob questions, what's worse is to not ask!

1)Correct. Note: Afflow may STILL decide to send your traffic to other offers, even if you're targeting just one offer. This may be because the offer you're targeting has reached offer cap, or has been paused due to other reasons. Also, if I remember correctly, afflow may decide that another offer is converting better than the one you're targeting, and still send a part of or all of the visitors to those other offers.

In short, just because you're targeting a single offer, does not guarantee that all visitors will be sent to that offer.

2)Yes. Afflow will detect the geo the visitor is from, and send them to offers that will accept traffic from that geo (+carrier, OS, browser, and whatever other restrictions). And conversions will be credited to you, because afflow is a traffic monetizer - you can theoretically throw any traffic at it.
