Setup conversion tracking on PropellerAds

Hi,

I'm trying to setup conversion tracking on PropellerAds using Voluum.

Here's what I've done so far.
Click image for larger version.

Name:	nOwRuvN.png
Views:	30
Size:	137.3 KB
ID:	16583

The target URL is my new campaign URL in Voluum.

In the last step, I clicked on the banner and a new window shows up saying "test banner for conversion". Click on that banner and it leads me to the offer page.

I asked the chatbox if I just simply click on it or finish the offer to make a conversion. It says I have to finish. so I downloaded and installed a chrome plugin but still no conversion.

I suspect maybe its my offer link is wrong? I'm just using Afflow link when setting up with Zeropark. It looks like this:

http://subdomain.maindomain.com/?utm_medium=xxxxxx&utm_campaign={campaign.id}-ZP-{country}-{carrier}&1={var1}&2={var6}&cid={clickid}

You need to copy the link from step 1 in your screenshot, and paste that into your PropellerAds settings in Voluum.

I don't have access to a computer right now so can't walk you through this. See if you can figure this out yourself first (it's not hard). Don't worry if you don't - report back and I’ll provide more details when I can get to a computer.

Thanks for your reply

Here's the steps of what I've done so far:

1. Setup PropellerAds traffic source in Voluum.

There's a template provided. It looks like this:
"http://ad.propellerads.com/conversion.php?aid=xxxx&pid=&tid=xxxx&visitor_id={ externalid}"

I filled in my aid and tid.

I also tried
"http://ad.propellerads.com/conversion.php?aid=xxxx&pid=&tid=xxxx&visitor_id=$ {SUBID}"

I noticed the pid here is empty. Is this correct?

Both didn't give me conversions.

2. Reuse the offer I setup for Afflow+Zeropark arbitrage.

The afflow link looks like this:
http://subdomain.maindomain.com/?utm_medium=xxxxxx&utm_campaign={campaign.id}-ZP-{country}-{carrier}&1={var1}&2={var6}&cid={clickid}
I suspect the parameters are wrong here, Since I just simply reused the offer for Zeropark without modification.

3. Setup a new campaign in Voluum using the offer in step 2, select PropellerAds as traffic source and save.

4. Copy the campaign URL in Voluum back to PropellerAds backend. Press "Check URL" button. It says "Well done".

5. Click on the banner. Jump to a new window. Click on it. Jump to the offer. Finish the offer by installing a chrome plugin.

6. Wait for 5 minutes. Press "Check" button on ProperllerAds backend. No conversions registered.

Here's a step-by-step:

https://help.propellerads.com/hc/en-...ng-with-Voluum

Basically, if, when adding Propeller to Voluum as a traffic source, you've used Voluum's traffic source template, then you'll see this link in the "Traffic source postback URL" already:

So basically just fill in your aid and tid from the link you got from your Propeller account (like you did), and save the voluum settings.

It should be OK to leave it empty.

2. Reuse the offer I setup for Afflow+Zeropark arbitrage.

The afflow link looks like this:
http://subdomain.maindomain.com/?utm_medium=xxxxxx&utm_campaign={campaign.id}-ZP-{country}-{carrier}&1={var1}&2={var6}&cid={clickid}
I suspect the parameters are wrong here, Since I just simply reused the offer for Zeropark without modification.
You can use:

http://subdomain.maindomain.com/?utm_medium=xxxxxx&utm_campaign={campaign.id}-Pro-{country}-{carrier}&1={var1}&cid={clickid}

If you're using voluum's template for propellerads, the first variable is {zoneid}, so the &1={var1} will allow afflow stats to track propeller placement stats.

Sounds right. I have no idea how that check function works, so can't comment.

What I WOULD recommend, is try to trigger a conversion by running actual traffic.

Are you at least seeing conversions registered in afflow? If you're not, it means the conversion was NOT registered.

Go through afflow stats, and choose a geo+carrier+etc. that has very low-payout offers as the main offer responsible for most of the conversion. When I say low I mean $0.03-0.10 payout range. Set up a campaign and run $5 to it - there's no way you won't get conversions.

Once you're seeing conversions in afflow, you can tweak until you start seeing conversions in propeller. It's a 3-step process when a conversion occurs:

1)The conversion shows up in afflow stats. If you're not seeing conversions here, it means you've set up the afflow link/domain incorrectly.

2)Afflow posts the conversion to Voluum. If you're seeing conversions in afflow but not in Voluum, it means you've set up the voluum postback on afflow incorrectly.

3)Voluum posts the conversion to Propeller. If you're seeing conversions in Voluum but not on Propeller, it means you've set up the Propeller postback on Voluum incorrectly.

So there's your troubleshooting plan. Let me know how it goes!
