I'll be starting my own journey here for my documentation and accountability as well. I tried fb + ecom dropship previously, but it didn't work out and will be making changes/improving. But now, I'll be doing POD for my selected target market.
I'm making a new site for this journey. I'll also be constantly updating this first-post thread to give more info.
Goal:
1. To have a long-term ecommerce business US and first tier countries targetting.
What I currently have:
1. Well I already have a team which can handle customer service and order fullfillment, and also some social media posting.
Some details on my chosen market/niche:
1. Wellness market, 90+% women
2. market has at least 2 big and well-known products/companies, which have dealership/membership options.
3. each of the companies/products have a loyal following, and I can find a number of current pod merchandise(shirts, etc) which have good stats.
4. I'll start selling with POD merchandise like shirts, mugs, women's tops, and also sneakers which from research is selling great nowadays(though higher shipping times for sneakers).
5. I'll be sourcing graphic designers from either upwork, fiverr, or own locality. I just want simple and minimalist design
6. I already have about 50 sayings/quotes/texts(which I think are great, but still don't know if the market will love it much to buy it) to put in the POD merchandise as I have instructed one of my staff(who is great in content) to make these.

Print on Demand Services to use:
Custom Cat
Pillowprofits(from China, so will have the usual longer shipping time)
gearbubble(for heat-changing mugs)
My notes on great resources:
My Inspiration/Motivation List:
http://iamattila.com/interviews/code...f-codewise.php
- this is a recent article/interview that I read which just touched my emotional buttons.
Facebook Groups which I find truly useful(but still there are a lot of noise):
https://www.facebook.com/groups/kingpinning/
https://www.facebook.com/groups/EcomElites
Decided to list just 2 fb groups.
Level 1: Product/Market/Niche Selection/Research
https://www.facebook.com/ChrisRecord...6137299913289/
- great info on selecting passionate audience; for Print on demand mugs, necklace, etc.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/king...2013423440675/
- still on selecting audience with POD tidbits info at the end
- showed that there are lots and lots of niches that we can explore and profit.
that's it for now, since house and office duties on schedule.
I already started with my new store, and still configuring settings.
My set next milestone is to add about 30+ POD products in the store. I am targetting the market/niche so I'll be in the get go offering audience a number of tshirt design/text/sayings options, and also sneakers, etc.
For the logo, I'll just make it on my own - I'll stick with just a simple one, minimalist instead of outsourcing it. planning to spend just about 2 hours on the logo(research + design options that will fit the market's audience) and won't make it perfect.
By the way, my wife's pregnant and we just had our first ultrasound(no heartbeat yet).
Hoping for our first baby after 5 years of trying. Wish us luck.
