Struggling to Profit

First of all i want to greet all the members of STM. I hope you are having a great summer!

long story short, i'm struggling to make this campaign profitable , it's Been more than a month now , where i have tested a lot of landers and a lot of bids. Lately ive had some profit with 0.0006 bid and i have Also cut some placements. I'm running it on PPV and it seems like there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The payout of the offer is 1.30$

Here are the Stats of this campaign for 2months!Click image for larger version.

Hey Midsoufi,
First of all, this campaign definitely has potential as it is converting.. However, we need more information. First you should update your costs, second what type of offer are you running? CTR seems a little bit low, but CR is pretty high, I assume you cut out non working landers when testing.. Are you only trying one ppv traffic source? sometimes it helps to try different ones.

Thank you optifyme for your Quick replay.
First of all, I'm running a survey campaign in US and all my conversions are coming from ps4 device. My only traffic source that I'm using was Popads, but maybe you can give some other traffic sources that I can use.
hope to hear from you very soon.

I would try and find similar offers, or even the same offer on another network and do a split test in your tracker.

Wow interesting that the convertions are coming from ps4! It reminds me of when I used to get convertions on smart TV’s.

Well, aside from Popads ( which I like a lot) I always had good results with Zeropark, Proppellerads, Tonic ads, and for adult Exoclick and plugrush. All of these sources offer similar targetting options as popads, as well as good traffic.
Testing new traffic sources is always good..
And as iAmAttila mentioned, try split testing similar offers, or the same offer on different networks.

It would help to display more-detailed stats.

Let's start with placement stats for JUST your best lander+offer (the combo you're currently running), and only the stats since your last bid change. Please update costs in this timeframe as well.

Please show the stats sort by decreasing impressions, and also decreasing conversions.

ALL of your conversions are coming from JUST PS4? Could you please show some stats for OS, device, brands, and models?

How many similar offers have you tested? Generally speaking, testing offers is probably the task that has the greatest potential to increase ROI by the most amount.

Dear vortex thank you for your help. For the stats that you've asked for you gonna find them in the bottom.
I've tried 3 surveys offers 2 in US and 1 in canada and the only one that convert for me it was one from US.

Thanks so much for providing all those screenshots!

(For future reference: Next time you want to post screenshots, it would be easier to upload them to imgur.com, grab the bbcode link and just paste them into the posts. Uploading images as post attachments can be hit-and-miss - sometimes they don't show up when you post. Hope those screenshots didn't give you too much grief when you were uploading them!)

It's obvious that the reason why all the conversions have come from PS4, is because that's where the vast majority of the total traffic have come from.

This in itself is weird. Are you just targeting PS4 in your campaign settings? Could you please double and triple check to confirm either way?

As for placements: I see quite a few placements that are in profit. Try cutting placements that are over 2x payout in loss (so in this case, placements that are in loss by $2.60+).

Also - 3 offers is far from enough. Once you've cut some placements, start testing more offers - a LOT more. I would start with 10, cut down to a winner, and then split-test 10 more and so on. As soon as you have something doing good profits, scale to other traffic networks, but leave the original camp running to test more offers until you feel you've tested a good percentage of the good offers available on the market. (And of course, when testing new offers, be sure to open up your targeting to include all devices accepted by the offers, not just PS4.)

Also - how many landers have you tested so far? Before mass-testing offers, you'd want to at least have tested all the popular ones you find on Adplexity first.

US is THE most major geo with the largest volume. If you'd be willing to invest your money, you could be reaping great rewards.

In the beginning I've tested 50 landers including edited version of the original ones (split testing the headlines, colors, images...) and they were all costume creative I didn't rip any lander from anywhere. And concerning the devices in the beginning and for a week I was working with broad devices and even I did see some clicks from mobile and tablets but all the conversions came from PS4. That's why I've choosed to go with gaming console.
P.S For my winning lander can i send it to you in private so you can give me some good remarks to improve it.
Many thanks Amy.

Wow - 50 landers!

And yes please feel free to PM me your lander - but be sure to update this thread to tell me so - otherwise it may be months before you'd get a response.

It's weird that all the conversions came from PS4 when you were targeting broad - my guess is that your sweeps offer is offering a gaming console or something else gaming-related as a prize?

If you can find similar offers, be sure to make it a priority to test those before you cut placements further. That way there's potential of monetizing more of the traffic available.

At any rate, consider it a feat - it's not easy making a US camp profitable!

I did PM you my lander and for split testing landers they were 30 landers and not 50 (my mistake)

Thank you in advance.

Thank you sooooo much for your wonderful suggestions and for sure I'll start applying them on my lander and hope they'll work.
The other day when you told me "Try cutting placements that are over 2x payout in loss" in which range of time should it be. Is it per day, peer week,...?
Again Thank you for your usual help.

Think it should be over all time, i.e. since the campaign started.

Yup, with initial tests, 2x payout rule is meant for the whole time since start. Once there is a proven funnel available, it's a good idea to retest at least the larger placements, as they might convert better now.

Hello guys, it's been a while that I'm working on my survey campaign and thanks to your Tips I did make some profit. Lately After checking my Stats I've notice that I receive good traffic from the operating system BSD (high CTR and CR) but in the same Time there is PlaySation OS who take most of traffic. My request is how to cut away the OS PlayStation and keep BSD. Waiting for your usual help.

You can only cut what your source allows you to cut ... if they can't detect BSD, then there is no way to use that info in targeting ... however, after doing some research, looks like this BSD is actually the OS of Playstation 3 or 4 - just identified differently. Check this for more info : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...rating_systems
