So I've been following vortex's afflow tutorial as well as some others. Been running some campaigns the last week but just now really settled in. I have 3 camps I ran last night and was wondering whether they are worth continuing and how I can make this decision better myself in the future. I can already guess that camp1 will be stopped and 2 & 3 will continue. But since all of them already target carrier my question is more with the numbers I have how much more should I pump into them before I have enough placements to cut? These budgets were already 5-6 times the payout. Do I do that again? I see conversions and some hope so I know it's worth digging into but don't know how much to give them for another round of testing. Any help appreciated
Camp 1
Visits = 18,577, Conversions 5, Cost = $10.05, Revenue = 0.91
This one has a bigger budget than the others because it started as 5 dollar campaign and after it's first 5 it made that 0.91 revenue so I ran another 5. As you can see it made no new conversions. This one I'm sure is ready to be stopped but figured I'd include here
Camp 2
Clicks = 9,383, Conversions = 3, Revenue = 1.38 Cost = 6.66
Camp 3
Clicks = 12,163, Conversions = 4, Revenue = 1.86 Cost = 5.16
Yup - camp 1 does look pretty bleak.
But let's look at stats for it anyways (do a post-mortem).
Could you please show placements stats for all 3 camps? Sorted by decreasing impressions, and also by decreasing conversions? Let's see what we're looking at here and go from there.
Amy
Will do Amy! On mobile at the moment but as soon as I'm back at the computer today I'll post those in a post mortom thread. Thanks!
Hey Vortex quick question for ya. I'm gathering my stats to do a post mortem on several campaigns and was wondering when doing these if target or source placements matter more. Im using zeropark and popads so for pop there is also category placement. I've been prioritizing category but wasn't sure on the source vs target. I can just post all but curious what is generally preferred when posting stats here for help and showing how a camp has gone.
Hey Amy!
Just a heads up I finally ended up making that post mortem for that camp referenced in this post. Linked to the post below. I have about 4 other test camps (2 mentioned in this post). Should I also make posts showing those stats or hold up and just learn from this one? Thanks!
