How much does approval/disapproval ratio matter? And how to do it right? (9)

How much does approval/disapproval ratio matter? And how to do it right?

I'm having a hell of a time getting ads through and I'm wondering how much I can increase my chances by improving my ratio. I've been submitting a lot of charity ads for approval - once I get one approved then I will submit a bunch more only changing the age range. If I just change the age range, the ad is typically approved in less than half an hour. My guess would be they are being auto-approved by the system, which begs the question - does submitting similar ads with only the age demo changed help my ratio, or do I need to submit original ads (different ad copy, picture, etc.) and get them approved in order to increase my ratio? And just how much does ratio matter anyway?

Cheers

Ratio definitely does help - but it won't make you completely immune to a banning. If your ads receive complaints from users then you'll get banned regardless.

The auto approving does count. I would rotate in another super clean offer after a while though just to keep things interesting.

Yeah, just to chime in... I've got 4-5 fan pages right now that I've submitted hundreds of images for per each, just to keep this ratio in my favor. Also worth noting, that within the month and a half of implementing this strategy, the quality score on my account must be at least somewhat affected, because I have seen a drastic decrease in suggested bids in otherwise "high bid" countries. Other affiliates are not seeing the same numbers that I am.

It's based on account history and what you've done in the past in that country. My suggested bids for various gaming campaigns in European countries would float around $0.05-$0.20, and if I switched to a new FB account I was given suggested bids of $0.80-$1.20. Whether or not you get the same amount of traffic regardless of your account remains to be seen, I would imagine FB cares about actual bid more than anything.

Also, leave your charity campaigns active with a $5 a day budget or something. Looks more legit.

Yeah, initial bids will lower with the combination of solid previous performance and a good approval ratio. It's great to give you a discount on testing new ads.

I've got an add approval rating that's certainly above 95% and will get initial rates similar to zeno's when starting new projects.

From my experience, the lower suggested bids are across the board for all countries. I've never advertised in australia before. A friend of mine has suggested bids of .91-1.10, where as my account has suggested bids in the 20 cent range.

All those discounted prices didn't really mean anything to me considering I'd have zero traffic unless I pushed it back up the normal prices

Yep, they can actually be a pain in the ass tbh, i'm finding I have to keep upping the bids to 4-5x suggested before I get traffic. If they weren't so ridiculously low and thus misleading I wouldn't waste as much time.
