Offers with redirects on Facebook

Can you run offers with redirects on Facebook? I've tried this in the past with Adwords and they immediately shut me down.

Basically what I want to do is grab an offer from an affiliate network and promote it through Facebook. Is this possible or are there any complications?

What do you mean by offers with redirects? Do you mean running offers without landers?

Hi Amy,

Yes, that as well. I know the vertical already and I know it will work.

But what I mean is that the link I will use a destination URL on the Facebook platform will not be the URL the visitor will finally end up on. There will be first my own domain, then then the link of the affiliate network and then the offer.

I know Google has a very strong policy against this and automatically disapproves this, but I'm not sure about Facebook

Hi!
You are right, that's definitely forbidden on Google, although there is no too strict rule for redirects on Facebook.

Here is what I've found in their policy:
"We don't have a specific landing URL policy about redirecting to a different URL, but keep in mind, the ad content and destination URL of an ad should deliver the expected experience when clicked. If we determine that your ads aren't accurately reflecting the landing URL you're redirecting traffic to, we reserve the right to disapprove them."

So basically, the user should see what he's expecting - by clicking on a post with a travel offer he should appear to a travel offer (even if links are different), and not some adult dating website for instance

Facebook now detects mobile redirects that happen within the mobile app (you can still run desktop redirects fine)

Thank you for the feedback. I've tried somethings and I did manage to get one link accepted by Facebook. This is a link to my VPS where I host a php to redirect a file, however I want to promote this link through Voluum so I can actually see what my conversion data etc, but I can't even upload my Voluum link from the power editor. It keeps giving the following error (see screenshot).

I've already set up a new main domain for Voluum, but that didn't solve it either.

So is it actually possible to run Facebook campaigns with a Voluum link? Especially as Nickpeplow just said they will spot all redirects on mobile.

@nickpeplow. How would that actually work? I'll just upload my redirect to Facebook and just target desktop?

Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming your running something cloaked and uncompliant.

You'll need to cloak using a "php no redirect method". What this means is that the clean landing page is on the same location as the dirty lander. The cloaker just decides which content to show. Normally this is done with a php include, but your cloaker should have good docs around this

Voluum works fine with Facebook.

I'm not able to use my Voluum link for facebook as well. I'm trying with a whitehat ecommerce product too (although my other previous campaigns are blackhat). Direct linking to that presell page works but when it's going through Voluum first, it says the destination is blocked. How can I get around this?
