Anyone Having Success With Pop Traffic For Mobile Content Offers?

Is anyone able to make a profit on mobile content offers for pop traffic? Because honestly it seems like an impossible feat for me right now. And out of five affiliate networks, only one of them seems to actually care about having non-adult mobile content offers that accept pop traffic. And after going through the list I saw that a huge number of the offers were expired. There will still a lot left though and after going through almost 20 of them in different geos I haven't seen even one conversion. My tracker is set up correctly, I promise. I have a prefetch lander with a nice loading gif. The offers work pretty well, as in they're engaging customers because all my ctrs are around 50 percent. But I just can't figure out how to get people to convert.

So you got that loading gif + pre-fetch lander set up! And doing 50% CTR! Congrats and thanks for giving that idea a try! (You can split-test loading images and also try other ideas to increase that CTR.)

When you say mobile content offers - what types of offers do you mean? This category is way too general. Can you be more specific? Basically by using a loading gif lander, you're not pre-selling the offer - which is the equivalent of direct-linking to the offer. And I want to verify that you're running offers that don't require pre-selling.

Hi Vortex, thanks for your reply. I'm focusing on 1/2 click offers in mobile content for gaming right now. I did some research here on aff networks for mobile offers and got signed up for 3 of them. I promoted 2 offers for one of the new networks and so far it got 1 conversion at about 4x the payout so I'm still running it. I had it running with the loading gif but decided to direct link after the conversion to see what happens. I plan to check back when it reaches another round of 5x the payout. It's a gaming offer in a tier 3 country. If the offer stays at 1 conversion, how long do you think I should give it before shutting it down? I'm also about to run a huge set of offers in this network, I really like how they offer a lot of options unlike the other affiliate networks I was in. And would you know of any good traffic sources for tier 2 and 3 countries? Propeller Ads has some but not a lot. And Pop Ads literally has none. (Of course I'm looking for carrier traffic as well)

Ah OK! Then the loading gif lander would be worth a shot. I just wanted to make sure you're not planning to use that lander with offers that need pre-selling.

I would say that if the offer doesn't continue to convert at least once every 5 payouts in spend, and/or as soon as it starts to look like most of the bigger placements won't likely be profitable, I'd ditch the offer.

When you say tier 2 and 3 countries are you referring to carrier traffic? I'm confused because you then said you're "looking for carrier traffic as well", and also that "Pop Ads literally has none", when they obviously do have carrier traffic.

Another hint: Mobile gaming offers can convert well on adult traffic as well. Depends on the offer. Not all advertisers will accept adult traffic though so do check with your AM.

Ok thanks for your advice. What ended up happening was that the offer converted 3 times within 10x the payout but then stopped after that. I ran it until it reached 25x the payout but it never got another conversion so I think I'll just drop it now.

Yes I need carrier traffic for tier 2 and 3 countries. Pop Ads doesn't have any carrier traffic for a couple of geos that I looked at with carrier restrictions.

No thanks, I don't want anything to do with adult traffic. It's against my principles.

PopAds does have carrier traffic - perhaps your geos are small?

Basically, when setting up your camp in PopAds, set "connection types" to "cellular" and "connection speeds" to "cellular/carrier".

When you start getting traffic, see your Voluum stats under "Mobile Carrier". If most of your traffic is from the correct carrier, then you're all good. If however, you find that you're getting a lot of wifi traffic (under the "Other" entry), then you'll need to dig deeper. This tutorial will explain all:

What are the geo+carriers you're looking for traffic from? I could see if there's any at propellerads for you. You could obviously try setting up camps at all the major pop sources (or, better, ask the traffic network support to verify volume estimates for the carriers you're wanting traffic from, before even spending the money).

Also: If you're running 1/2-click gaming offers, don't forget that there's also carrier volume on mobile DSPs. Just add generic banners.

Hey Rashidannahas,

I run with popads and have seen good results for some geo's but bad results in others. However, they do have carrier traffic! Another Pop traffic source which has good carrier targeting would be Zeropark.

Hope you find some good converting traffic!
