Might be useful to those interested in bot detection...

I'm not code-saavy enough to understand this, but will bump to get more views - may be useful to members.
And if you could please share more details on how to use this information, that would be simply fantastic!
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing Clickwork7!
Methods described in the linked article look pretty interesting.
Have you already done any bot test using described methods? In case you have, it would be interesting to see the results.
Thanks for the share. 6 features to look out for seems like plenty. Would also be interested in seeing some results for this!
VERY smart stuff. I'm impressed.
The WebGL and plugins detection is particularly smart.
BTW, the author mentions PhantomJS - here's the detection post for that browser he references: https://blog.shapesecurity.com/2015/...ased-visitors/ . There are some even more clever tricks in there - I particularly like the stack trace-based detection.
My expectation is that currently most bots are still running PhantomJS, so chances are those detection approaches will be more valuable at the moment. However, Headless Chrome will catch up fast.
Some interesting discussion of the post on Hacker News too (along with a massive argument about scraping - ignore the latter, read the former) - https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=14936025
This is a sufficiently interesting post and approach that I may write a new bot detector incorporating these techniques. Thanks for the share, @clickwork7!
A quick update on this: testing is currently in progress, and I hope to write my results up for all of you this week.
It's been surprising what I've discovered so far, but more testing needed.
