Scaling Strategies: Thoughts on In-video and Footer spots? (2)

So something that I've been trying to learn is how to properly scale a campaign once things are going ok.

I've got a Desktop campaign right now that seems to be doing ok in a Tier 2 country, but right now Im only on NTV spots. I seemed to have gone through quite a bit of these spots already, and am now thinking of trying some in-video and footer spots.

I often heard that lead quality for these spots aren't that great, what have been your experiences?

Also I am pretty sure that at some point we have to scale campaigns into these spots as there are only so many decent NTV spots out there?

Any advice, tips would be appreciated!

Generally speaking, I've had more quality problems from footer than from NTV traffic. But it's not like every footer campaign caused problems either. I scale to footers and invideo all the time, sometimes it causes problems, sometimes it doesn't. On the other hand, I've also ran into quality problems with NTV traffic ...

I wouldn't worry to test footers or in-video, just make sure you label these sources somehow and pass the info to the affiliate network, in many cases it helps to stay on the offer by cutting the under-performing spots.
