Hiring a short video producer for Facebook

Just thought I'd take a shot in the dark and post this here...

I'm looking to hire someone who has experience with Photoshop, After Effects, etc. to find videos online and add text above/below the video that provokes engagement (i.e. 'like', 'share', 'comment')

Closest example that I can give would be SOFLO type videos.

We will be needing hundreds of videos, so this will be a long-term gig, FULL-TIME gig.

The most important attribute we're looking for is the ability to pick up on tone and what works well with certain audiences.

Pay will start at $10/hour. Once things are nailed down, the pay will increase to $25/hour (8 hours/day)... so $200/day.

Responsibilities will include:

- Sourcing videos
- Uploading to editor of your choice
- Adding text
- Uploading to fileshare

Can you train someone who has the editing skills to source the videos and add proper text?

It's not so straight forward to have those skills, so the more guidance you offer, the more likely you need just someone who can edit videos and not even someone who needs to do anything too complicated. Basically, video editing is a secondary skill to some extent.

If you're just looking to add text and basic shapes to your videos, the simplest way would be doing it using some applications like Camtasia or similar. That way you don't have to hire some highly paid guy with advanced skills.

Yeah, sounds to me he wants also someone who sources the videos, and that's the less common skill out there.

Yeah, definitely an uncommon skill. Anyone who's ever done content arbitrage likely has the feel for this kind of stuff, though. Been having trouble finding someone and don't wan't to spend months training, so just dropping a line wherever I can.
