Landing Pages Creation Tools Opinions

Hi there,

As a newbie I am considering the idea of using Lead Pages to create landing pages, download landing page files and upload them on a VPS.

How does this process sound?
What's your opinion about landing pages creation tools and about Lead Pages in particular?

Many thanks in advance for comments and suggestions

Mattia

The question is, what kind of traffic will you focus on ... basically any tool, will produce an unnecessarily heavy/long code that might slow down the loading times of your landing pages. I'm not exactly obsessed with loading speeds, but still, it's good to keep the KB/MB size to the minimum - especially when running speed sensitive traffic like mobile POPs, for example. I've always had the best results with custom coded minimalist LPs.

Thank you Matuloo for your prompt answer.
I would exactly start with mobile POPs, right where LP speed is fundamental.

According to your experience, when it comes to landing pages loading time (in particular in mobile POP traffic) what would be a good loading time and what would be the limit?

For example, just guessing: 500 milliseconds or less is good, over 1 second you're out of the game....

Thank you!!

Depends on the offer type - the answer is as quick as possible while your angle/story is still complete.

Regarding LP creators, I'm generally more on the side of using custom built ones once you reach a certain scale, but you can find scenarios where you only need to quickly test certain factors before investing time and money in an optimized version.

Pops is not the traffic source for that though, loading speed can make or break your campaign.

Humans don't really react in milliseconds, 500ms is an excellent number, 1 sec will still fly in most cases, if you go above it starts to matter ... 2-3 seconds poses a serious problem already. These are "rough" numbers, but based on my experience. Try to stay under 1 sec.

Keep in mind there's a difference between real life performance and whatever speed test you try for your lander. It's quite often that a 500ms result means 2-3s in real life scenarios with less-than-ideal connections.
