Contacted by FB Rep, what should I do?

I am spending around $500 - $700 a day, just got this email from a FB Rep. What should I write back? Or ignore it ? Dont want fb sniffing around and disrupting what's already running smoothly here.

I’ve noticed that you’ve been quite active with spending on Facebook and I’d love to speak with you to discuss the marketing initiatives and goals that you’ve been working on. We can provide additional client support and assist you even further with your marketing efforts on our site.

Please let me know if you would be available to discuss further and the best number to reach you at.

Well it probably won't look that good if you don't respond. I'd respond and act like you are an experienced marketer running local lead-gen campaigns and working direct with many advertisers to further their social media marketing efforts. Act like you mainly seek out reputable online businesses (or better yet they seek out you!) and don't mention affiliate networks!

You could potentially get more leniency with approvals and such if you have a rep, and when you get disapproved you could have a contact person who could give you more detail on the reasons for disapproval, and are probably less likely to get banned for pushing the boundaries. You could potentially also get an agency account = higher spend limit.

I've always wondered whether, in this situation, you could say you work with some advertisers and they sometimes offer to extend a credit line to you to use as the marketing budget source. You could say you'd like to add these external credit sources to your account to use specifically for their campaigns, but Facebook doesn't like the whole issue with cred cards not linking to your name/physical location etc. Could be a loophole to dodge bans due to 'suspicious payment activity'. I've never heard of anyone doing that though, would be uber epic!

Just be honest. Let them know that you want to work with them - that could pay dividends. I am, of course, assuming that you're not into any shady shit like cloaking or 'bait and switch'. If you're not, then you have nothing to lose. No need to 'run' if you're not being chased. If you are then you have to take responbibility for your own actions. No whining allowed.

Have Facebook contact you is just like them asking you "Hey, I want to give you a chance to make MORE MONEY. Do you want it?".

So my question to you is, why not? Just tell them like what zeno said, and you will be fine and they will gladly lift your limit to even higher!

As long as your not doing shady shit just be honest! Could land you a few more FB accounts!

I would definitely talk to them. Getting contact with FB is rare. If you are doing something shady at $500-$700 a day, that could be dead within a week or two. If you work with FB they can really help scale long term.

What did they ask you?

What offers are you promoting?

thanks for the feedback. i have worked with rep back on 2009 and didnt really see any benefit from it apart from stricter monitoring. they just asked my number but i figure they are already digging through my campaign or will dig through. another thing is FB hates affiliate so I'd rather stay under the radar.

I'll try and pull off what zeno suggest though, that's what I tell ppl in real life about what I do too

@adityan

I know your thoughts exactly, i had a rep a long time ago, and they didn't help me at all. They just asked a lot of questions and gave me tips for better targeting which in my eyes were pretty basic tips.

So when i was contacted by another rep months later on a different account i didn't respond and that's all that happened.

Can anyone share some positive stories of a rep really benefiting them?

exactly stack, the rep that I had back then kept referring to FB Help Manual and didnt know any trick or tips or what was happening at their ad system

now to think of it, I am using my wife's FB account and ccard so my rep would be really confused if it's a man who answer her call !

our rep helps.. we dont do anything shady, I do very large volume buys for clients (fb apps)....

anytime we need more 5k a day accounts, I get them at an instant... also, they have helped with strategy on scaling more (which I could of done without)..

ive had 3 reps.. Jeff Iden, Marissa, and some other gal.

I was always allowed in new beta shit they had, like auto approve, fb ad uploader, and other things they had. I also got bumped up to 30k on all my account too as well.

The rep I had was useless in 2009

Did you end up speaking to them?

i have talked to my rep and got my account speed limits increased from $250 to $5k instant. thats helpful. i was spent $500-600/day on my banned old account.
he told if you spending $30K per quarter then can get their ad bulk uploader.

Are you sure it's not just an automated response?
