Adult PIN Submits

Hi,

Here I am posting my first campaing on Adult Pin Submits Thanks to Matuloo, Vortex, Caurmen and so many others that posted awesome content here and helped me with this.

I decided to promote adult video content on Tier 2-3 countries using Popups (Exoclick premium placements). I ripped 4 landers from Adplexity Adult (although there's not many available and most of them look the same with video thumbnails). I decided to test 4 GEOS with several offers in each.

All the landers have the same alert javascript and vibration script. No backbutton redirect or similar.

I started the campaign less than 2 days ago. So far out of the 4 GEOS, only 1 is getting enough volume to take decisions. The other 3, although I'm bidding near the top bidder on 2 of them I'm not getting much voulme. In 1 of the GEOS the top bidder has a crazy high bid so I'm not getting any volume although my bid is quite high.

Seeing this situation, I decided to focus on GEO A that has enoguh volume, improve my funnel and then go and try to compete on the other GEO's.

GEO A: There's only 1 offer for this GEO, but the offer has 3 different landers so decided to test all of them. Offer payout is 1.42$.

The campaign started with high CTR for the landers, ranging from 23% to 6%, but I was getting 0 conversions after nearly 300 clicks on each lander. The offer is one of the top in my network.

At that point I realized the 4 landers where probably too similar (video thumbnails) and needed to try something completely different, so I created 3 new landers based on proven landers from other verticals.

I stopped 3 of the initial landers since they reached 300 clicks with 0 conversions.

This new landers got much lower CTR (1+%) but each got conversions, 4 in total. I also got a conversion with 1 of the initial landers.

These are the results after 2 days and spending 36$ with -81% ROI:

After analysing the results, I decided to do the following:

1. Cut iOs since the CTR is way lower than Android and is getting me no conversions.

2. Stop the initial lander I was still running.

3. From the 3 new landers I was testing, keep the winner running. ( I know it's not a statistically significant winner, but since they behave similarly and my budget is not unlimited I just chose that one).

4. Create 2 new landers that are combinations of my winner (low CTR with good conversions) with the best CTR lander I had, to try to find a sweet spot between good CVR and a good enough CTR to get positive ROI.

My doubts so far are:

1. Did I cut the initial landers to quick when I saw I wasn't getting conversions?

2. Did I chose correctly to focus on GEO A and not compete on the rest of GEO's until I have better landers and a proven funnel? I say this because it seems difficult to me to test offers unless you know your landers convert properly.

3. Did I cut iOs prematurely?

Any comments, suggestions, feedback, etc is more than welcome

Thanks guys, I'll post an update soon!

Hello doctorx,

congrats on taking action

Exo is a huge network, but most of their volume is in banner traffic and that's what I would recommend to focus on too. From some reason, I didn't have much success with their POPs. If you decide to test banners, use simple ones that look like video screenshots, with a playbutton .. so high CTR.

If you want to stick with pops, you might want to switch traffic sources ... plugrush has a lot of pops and redirects, blind clicks etc ... you just need to cut placements quickly, their network is quite polluted with crap.

To give you some more tips : at this stage you need to make sure that you have 2 things, which is LEGIT traffic and a few TOP offers. Buying bots is pointless, just as is to send traffic to a poor offer. So what you need to do is to run a bot test, though the premium placements shouldn't have too much of it, but you never know. Then you need to mass test offers, to find some that convert at a decent rate. For this purpose, the screenshot landers should be good enough, you might also try some simple LP with a warning or age check ... nothing complicated is needed to find a promising offer. Once you have it, you can start experimenting more.

For now, I would recommend to focus on just one or two GEOs, you need to learn the process first and targeting more GEOs might just confuse you.

What affiliate networks are you using for this? There are several solid adult networks that focus on carrier billing : Mobidea, kimia, bitterstrawberry, mobusi, brokerbabe ... test a few of them at least.

Just a check : make sure to buy just 3G traffic for this, the times of wifi are pretty much gone for carrier billing

Good luck

Thanks a lot Matuloo for your advice. Since I was buying 3G carrier traffic on Premium Placements I didn't run the bot test as I read there shouldn't be much problems in that sense.

The network is Mobidea, I applied to Kimia too and waiting for them to get back to me.

As per your advice, I'm launching a banner campaign with 10 different banners (5 GIF and 5 static image) and 2 video thumbnail landers, with 5 offers in 1 GEO. Will publish the results soon

Yup, premium placements are usually not flooded with bots, but in some cases, they still do not perform ... I had to pause the largest premium sites in a LOT campaigns that were promoting carrier billing offers.

Waiting for your results ...please send me a PM in case I don't reply to your future posts, its hard to keep track with all the threads here, but I really want to help you further since adult is kinda my playground
