Tested ~20-30 top offers but still couldn't find anything... what should I do now?

After testing a large amount of the top offers only recommended by affiliate managers and on top offer reports, across many networks, direct linked and with the top ripped landers (~20-30), they all come out to a -80-75% ROI. (offers are across multiple verticals - app installs, mobile content, antivirus)

The targeting settings (OS, carriers, geo's, etc.) are all only what's allowed for each specific offer, and I've ran several bot tests to weed out most of the bad placements at the start of each campaign, however ROI is still very low.

Is this expected? If so, what should I do now? Test even more offers? Could it be that other marketers have better payouts, whitelists, etc. that make their offers work when I couldn't?

If this isn't expected, what have I done wrong? What could I do better?

Hi Gracie,

I think your best course of action is to start a follow along in this section: https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...long-Campaigns

Several things could be wrong for you - backdoored landers, not optimized well enough for load speed, bad traffic source (how many have you tried so far?).

If you make a follow along and explain what you did in detail, you can receive some very detailed explanations from the community as well. You can see the other follow alongs as examples of how detailed the help can be.

To answer if this is expected or not - sometimes this happens, and it happens more and more nowadays.

Cheers,
Manu.

I agree with Manu.. but let me also chime in...

If these are top offer reports and recommendations by your affiliate managers, then someone is making them work. This does not always mean that you are able to make it work but more often than not when I was in your shoes I remember down the road realizing the issue was... ME all along.

Something in my process/mindset/strategy/approach was off and you have to identify that through trial and error. What I can say is that you only recently joined STM and it's very likely you still have much to learn, so read through all of the follow along and guides on here and in a sense, slow down your thinking and study up in order to speed up the learning process = then take more action.

Few Tips...

1. Have you considered test these offers/landers on multiple sources? If I were to guess you probably only tested 1-2 traffic sources = big mistake most of the time.
2. How well did you optimize your landers? Or did you just rip and reuse exactly the same as it was on AdPlexity? What about your CDN/Hosting setup?
3. You have to start at the beginning of the process.. take things one step at a time to figure out where you're making a mistake.
4. Don't be afraid to try different strategies. The live case study link in my signature demonstrates several ways to approach things.

Best of luck!

Andrew
