I am obviously very new to e-commerce, so I don't have much to offer other than what I have tested and read over the past few months.
BUT...
I do have 5 years of SEO experience and can definitely point you in the right direction when it comes to ranking organically, google adwords, ranking on google maps for brick and mortar businesses (my specialty), creating proper site architecture (very overlooked), markups that make it easier for google to crawl your site, good on-page SEO, and several awesome tools that will help you run more of an 80/20 SEO operation and spend more time on higher level tasks.
I have a track record of getting results specifically for brick-and-mortar businesses like lawyers, dentists, real estate, beauty spas, etc - but these principles are widely applicable across many areas.
