How to scale properly?

Hello everybody!

I have such a problem that today an ad group with a budget of $ 20 / day
Bring leads for $ 5, and if I raise the budget to $ 100 / day, then the leads will be $ 11 +
How to scale properly, increase the amount of traffic without losing much ROI?
Facebook

I use the Business Manager and the goal of the campaign - conversion

Hey,

The general advice I've seen and heard is to absolutely not change a working ad set, but instead make several duplicates of it, with an increased budget in that.

I have to say, looking at many FB videos and advice for running campaigns there, the overall conclusion I have so far is that you need to be in a very different mindset when running FB campaigns compared to something like pops.

You have to focus on giving Facebook data and learn to speak its algorithm's language, it's less about just upping budgets and switching bids - it's about finding the audience (and not just through interest targeting).

Also, there should new ad sets always launched, testing different bids, different conversion goals, different audiences. The name of the game seems to be testing loads of possibilities and then getting more and more accurate using lookalikes, custom audiences, retargeting, etc.

Hope some FB pros can chime in with a more specific piece of advice.

Cheers,
Manu.

Thank you for your advice.
I also hope that Facebook experts will answer here.

If you're using conversions as your campaign objective you should give FB's algos time to readjust, normally a few days before touching the campaign again. This is a frequent mistake in many cases because people get scared of the higher CPAs and drop the campaigns altogether thinking they've died out - wait it out instead and see if it normalizes.

Option 2 would be to very slowly increase the daily budgets in small increments and seeing how it behaves. $20->$35->$50 etc.

Option 3 is a common advice - duplicate your ad set multiple times.

Also, in order to optimise, Facebook's algorithm needs 15 conversions per day. If you don't get that, your "optimised" ad set might not be so optimised so should get bigger variations once you increase the budget.
