Why PopAds estimates I have 37k impression but voluum shows only 4k visits

Hi,

I am running a campaign with PopAds as my traffic source. My bid is 2 CPM, 10$ budget and it estimates that I should have 37k impressions/day.

But after running 10$, Voluum only reports that I have roughly 4k visits, 500 clicks

I want to test this campaign with as many impressions as possible. 4k visits as Voluum reports does not resonate well with my goal.

What does this really mean ? Are my landers showed to 37k people when they visit a website with PopAds code, or I just show my landers to 4k people.

Can someone help me to explain why so that I can have a better target the next time ?

Many thanks,
Tien

Hey Tien,

As you said, PopAds estimates. That means that if you have filtered for a few more things that PopAds does not account for, their estimate is way off.

I guess what you are asking for is if >30k visits have been lost somehow - the answer is not, you only got 4k impressions, it's the estimate that is not correct.

You have to open up the targeting or increase your daily budget, and maybe even the bid, if you really need more traffic.

Cheers,
Manu.

Hi Manu,

Thanks for your advice, I think I need to find ways to get more data and maybe increasing the budget is a good option since I target very broadly and I cannot open the target any more.

Is there any chances that the ripped lander I run was stolen some traffic and those traffic were redirected to the someone else's page ?

It is possible indeed, but it's a less frequent problem than people believe it is. But it's still an option to consider indeed. Not sure how good you are at reading code, but if it's not your strong field, you might want to ask a coder for help.

Is there any way to detect this issue ?

Usually, I look at the code and inspect all the elements that have "http" there.

I will replace the old click URL with mine at the first step. But there is some link that seems not the click URL at all. It is more like an image (I see the script "background-image" or something else) and they put them in their cloud storage instead of inserting an image file as usual. So it makes me really hard to replace with another similar one.

I decide to go with it and it seems like the page still functions properly, it does directs me to my offer's page.

Moreover I try a tip in Adplexity as it advises

"To make sure the lander is not backdoored open Chrome developer console (Ctrl + Shift + I) and open Network tab. Refresh page 10-15 times and if you see any request to domain thats not yours, lander is probably backdoored."

I run the test campaign and do not catch any requests to the domains that it is not mine. I wonder if I am safe at this point ?

Thank Matej,

Tien
