Glize and Voluum

Hi!

Does anyone have experience setting up campaigns between Glize and Voluum?

I read Caurmen's guide on tracking so I'll try figuring this out myself but in the meantime, if someone reads this - any help/direction would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

P.S. If anyone is having trouble with tracking I highly recommend you read Caurmen's guide: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-Read-This-Now

Hey! Yeah man it's easy. You make the links in Glize like this

Offer in Voluum
http://ck.gl2021.info/xxxxx?session_id={clickid}

Postback from Glize to Voluum
Then you go to API>Callback in Glize, and add in your postback url from settings in Voluum, like this https://www.dropbox.com/s/tp8ef1ka0l...24.14.png?dl=0

Usually your AM on traffic sources can plug in your postback for you too or help you out making sure the tracking works (i.e. send test conversions).

The most important thing when tracking is really just to make sure that the {clickid} from voluum goes to the affiliate network, and that it's also included in the postback back to Voluum. It's the only common parameter that can identify a click/conversion in both your tracker and the affiliate network. Without that the data will be two separate worlds ...

Wow, I would've completely messed up my tracking if it weren't for you.

This is how I had my tracking set up:

Offer in Voluum
http://ck.gl2022.info/xxxxx?subaffiliate_id={clickid}&session_id={campai gn.id}

Postback from Glize to Voluum
http://xxxxx.voluumtrk2.com/postback?cid={subaffiliate_id}&payout={payout}

I was under the impression that subaffiliate_id was the correct value to use because in Caurmen's post he kept referring to "subid". I'm sure you can see where I got confused.

Also, what does "txid" do? I'm going to go ahead and add it to my postback because I had previously removed it.

I appreciate your help!

I'm not sure if that would work. Maybe, but I always use the session_id because it's related to that particular session/click. Usually networks prefer one parameter to be used as the unique click parameter, i.e. systems using CAKE like Adsimilis don't want you to use #s1# for that. It's because of how the data is stored.

My example above I've ran for months without any problems

A sidenote:
I normally forward my placement ID in other parameters, because then I can see the Forensiq score per placement in Glize. So usually my links are like:

http://ck.gl2021.info/xxxxx?session_id={clickid}&external_placement_id={ var1} or something like that in Voluum. I always use var1 as zone/placement. Basically any parameter in Glize you can "tunnel" like that from Voluum, the same way you can use s1-s5 on other systems.

But for me the placement and clickid is usually the only thing I forward. Subaffiliate_id you can use to forward tags if you want, i.e. adult or mainstream, or "pop", "banner" etc. if you run their smartlink, but since you have Voluum anyways it doesn't make that much sense.

Txid is normally if a click can have multiple conversions, and you want to be able to measure multiple sales per session/click i.e. if you have upsells or it's possible that a user buys 2 or more items. I use it for Software Projects, but don't worry about it for Glize. All though it doesn't harm if you leave it in the postback.

Hello guys,

first thx Jessejames for helping a brother out :-) Next beer on me. On the other hand Kevinadriel, the account manager in charge send you a Skype request when you registered, his name is Kike, he is informed as well. Hit him up any time regarding your questions. Good luck with Glize!
