With FB ads, I understand that for ads where the purpose is to drive traffic to a webpage, then these will only show at the right hand side, if you don't have a FB page.
but if you have a FB page, then you have much more options including having the ad show in the news feeds.
So do people use the FB page as a landing page and from that page, get people to click a link which takes them to the actual website and if so, is the FB page almost like a mirror of the ad?
No, generally the FB page is just there to be attached to the ad as a "who's responsible" thing.
Most of the time you're driving traffic straight off FB to your site, not going to the FB page first.
