More FB Accounts - Thx Huntington!

So Huntington bank just sent my wife and me new replacement debit cards for our three business bank accounts. They came out with new cards for everybody because they switched from Visa to MC for bank debit cards. The BEAUTY is, they actually sent us each two uniquely numbered cards for one of the three business bank accounts (different businesses). The one they sent extra cards for just happens to be the business account I use for AM stuff. So basically, I now have four unique credit cards ready for some FB love (hate)!

I called in and every card activated and each number can be used to access banking info and works just fine.

This is made even better by the fact that they even misspelled my wife's name on one of the cards to make it even more unique. - However, I recently read on another thread that the name on the card is irrelevant when used electronically and only the card number & Exp date matter. Can anyone confirm this to be true? Can I use a card in my name for a FB ad account with a different name as long as the card number is unique?

Additionally (and ironically), I called my banker at Huntington just yesterday and asked about adding "employee" debit cards that tie back to my business accounts. I was told that I can get such cards by just coming in and filling out a info sheet and give the employee name only (no SS or tax ID info for the "employee" required). So it would be fairly easy for me to get extra cards anyway, but Huntington saved me the trip (for now).

Just figured I would share in case anybody else uses HNB with a business account and is lookin' for unique cards for FB accounts. I would imagine the same would work at any bank if you are using debit cards.

Peace nigz!

Jakz

If you report lost/stolen CC they will issue unique number on the new one.

you have to call them to get them raised.....its worked for me in the past without issue....

but when you signup online they are capped at 1k a day....

the max any debt card (from any bank) can do is 8k per day per visas rules.....its a hard limit that cant get by passed....I have hit it a few times and it sucks.....

thats what I was told anyways after many many many calls to BOA

Does FB accept debit cards from Lloyds TSB in the UK? I thought you require a CC for advertising on FB.

Thanks.

They accept visa, master card, amex... It doesn't matter if its debit, credit or charge.

I think that on AmEx Plum you can set your own spending for additional cards.

For Facebook, you don't need to match the name or the address. The only part of the address that needs to match is the state and zip code. From there, as long as the CC #, expire date and CVV number are entered correctly; it will go through.

I am new in GB. Does anyone know if we can get AMEX cards here?

Thanks.

Any serious affiliate should have an AMEX gold or platinum card. You get credit checked against your company and if your company has been in good standing for 2 years you get approved with an UNLIMITED spending limit. Additionally you can order more cards for employees under different names and card numbers which also have UNLIMITED spending limits.

To add juice to the matter if there are ever any disputes between you and your traffic source Amex will look after you. Also you get 2 airmiles for every £1 you spend. Every 90,000 points I spend I get a free first class trip to New York. Me and wife haven't paid for flights for about 2 years now.

Its almost as if the card was made for affiliates.

@darkforces

I agree. The only issue i have with AMEX is that their "fraud detection" system blocks online payments sometimes.

amex is famous for this...to have this happen on Adwords is brutal as it totally fucks with your camp....you have to be careful using amex and always have a backup funding in your accounts

points are great as long as you can manage your risk.....

for someone first starting out in this biz I would HIGHLY recommend not using credit at all....
