I hope you guys are having a better weekend than we are
So, we got started about a month ago and we've been anxious to start throwing up campaigns. However, we've been tied up trying to get approval from RevContent. We're heading into our third week of rejections. We got an ad rep who looked at our pages and could not decipher the problem.
Anyway, for our last rejection they're mentioning compliance standards that have not been met on the CC page. We're confused because we have no credit card sign up form on the landing page. It's strictly a lander. The lander had been ripped from RevContent's own network. So, are we expected to ask the merchants to include information to their other pages as well such as CC pages?
Here's some of the things we got:
"4. Billing - Material Terms https://faq.revcontent.com/customer/...ticles/2703713Failure to have disclosure of S&H and the other material terms (including rebill terms) of the offer displayed prominently and in close proximity to the credit card submit field. - Rebill terms missing from CC page
5. Billing - Affirmative Consent https://faq.revcontent.com/customer/...ticles/2703720 Failure to provide users the opportunity to affirmatively consent to recurrent billing or subscriptions. - Missing from CC page"
We're feeling pretty dumb right now because we keep reading on the forums that all we had to do was rip landers from proven offers from adplexity, scrub the scripts and upload the campaigns (done, done, done) but in our case, it doesn't seem to be working out that way. What are you guys doing differently?
Any tips would be very appreciated!
(side note: listening to "Sounds of Silence" from Disturbed recently. Dude, wow.)
I don't know what revcontent allows, but if you are ripping someone who is cloaking, that would certainly explain your situation.
> We're confused because we have no credit card sign up form on the landing page.
Clearly they are saying they will not allow the deceptive rebill.
> we keep reading on the forums that all we had to do was rip landers from proven offers from adplexity, scrub the scripts and upload the campaigns (done, done, done)
... :-/
It's not your lander that's the problem but your offer.
They are rejecting the offer based on how transparent its rebill terms are.
You will need to switch out for a straight sale or find a compliant rebill page offer!
@clickwork7
Thanks for providing some clarity and some tips to resolve this. We had no idea that rebill offers would create this kind of problem. We'll start looking into straight sales or rebill compliant offers.
We appreciate the help
I think you've ripped cloaked funnel.
Revcontent doesn't allow to run rebill offers without clearly notice for users.
If you would make it clear for user, your CR would drop dramatically.
So, you need to change something
Funny that we get more orders from existing clients compared to new clients who end up just asking around and then going back to burning themselves with "grown up and developed" traffic sources. Invest in a good site, get approved, then surround your article with own banners and cpa offer articles as much as you want. Also, a good viral site means 10x time reduction in cpc.
Yup, you've definitely run into an offer that revcontent doesn't deem compliant ... this is a common problem though. Offers with somewhat shady flow will convert better, so it's tempting to use them ... but as you could see yourself, it's bound to cause some trouble with many prime traffic networks.
Wanted to post one note regarding this : "We're feeling pretty dumb right now because we keep reading on the forums that all we had to do was rip landers from proven offers from adplexity, scrub the scripts and upload the campaigns..."
Keep in mind that this is only the first step, in order to cut down your learning curve and avoid wasting time on things that stand no chance at working. To be successful in AM, you need to tweak the creatives and learn how to produce your own, otherwise you don't really stand a chance for the long run.
BTW: I totally love the "sound of silence" remake too
You can focus on Clickbooth for offers, they are the same company as Revcontent and most of their rebills are compliant with the T&Cs.
