Tips On Staying Organized?

So with adult being the way that it is today, I find myself having multiple smaller campaigns as opposed to a few large campaigns. Basically picking and choosing spots/offers to promote where competition isn't too crazy.

However the end result is I have a ton of campaigns and it just seems like one big mess in my tracker.

So I was thinking for some of the smaller campaigns that maybe it would be a good idea to combine stats into one macro campaign?

So for example rather than having 3 separate campaigns that get like 2-300 clicks a day (small geo, same offer, same traffic network), that maybe I would just combine it into one campaign and look at it as a whole? Is this a bad thing?

I feel like my disorganization costs me money as I get sloppy keeping track of all these individual campaigns.

Any tips on staying organized would be appreciated!

Its way better to have 10 different campaigns, each one making 200$ a day rather than having one that makes $2K/day. Your risk is more spread out, if one campaign pauses you still have 9 others to make money from. Also less risk regarding chargebacks and payments.

Just find a way to organize and structure your work so you have a good dashboard overview of your revenues, costs and profit on each of these campaigns.
As long as your number of campaigns is low you can manage everything in excel or google docs but if you want to scale you'll need a more specialized CRM system.

When you say "a ton" of campaigns, how many do you mean?

If it's 40 or so campaigns, the best approach is probably better reporting and workflow to keep on top of all of them.

If it's 700 campaigns, yeah, you might need to start combining / checking less frequently / outsourcing some aspects.

Let us know and we can give more and better advice!

Hey guys when I say "ton" I mean only 10-15 lol. I guess I am not as big time as some of you guys, but even with that many just analyzing the data/banners etc. seems crazy.

I think I probably just need some better organizational systems in place.

Hmm 10-15.

It's going to get worse then.

Look at your campaigns and decide if those small ones are worth pursuing.

Are they making you $10 or $100 a day?

How much time does it take to manage it daily?

There is no much sense to manage those small ones.

Instead think how you could make those bigger ones even better and scale them up.

You can also apply the 80/20 pareto rule.

It's very possible that only 20% of your campaigns are bringing 80% of all of your profits.

Cut the rest, you will get more time that you can devote to scaling and launching new campaigns.

10-15 is nothing ... do you want to see a screenshot from my Voluum? You just need to learn how to work more effectively. It's true that there is only so many campaigns that you can handle yourself, but you should be able to handle a couple dozens of them for sure. Just set a workflow and keep notes in case you tend to forget what you did where ... which is quite normal with bigger amount of camps.

Don't try to be on top of every single campaign, several times a day ... the small ones need their time anyways, so don't watch them all the time. Focus on having as accurate numbers as possible, so it's easy to spot the problems, then everything is easier to handle.
