Interacting with Facebook ads interface programmatically?

Anybody have any info on interfacing with the Facebook ads manager page programmatically?

I have some ideas for tools that I want to create so I figured I'd check if anybody else is already doing this or has some code available before I waste any time re-inventing the wheel. Even code that may have worked before but no longer works may be helpful. I'm just looking for a starting point before I spend time figuring everything out from scratch.

I don't have an agency account and I don't have access to the Facebook ads API. I'd like to be able to do this with just a regular Facebook advertising account.

Any input or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think that you're looking for something along the lines of FB Ad Manager, but I heard that FB shut that down somehow. I don't know much about it yet.

I'm interested to see what people say about this.
