Starting out. Could do with your advice!

Hi everyone,

I'm just dipping my toes into AM and I thought I'd get some advice from people who have been there and got the tshirt. I'm wondering what problems you experienced when you were in my position and first starting out and what, if anything, stood in your way to becoming profitable and then scaling? I don't want to be going into this blindly!

Thanks guys

Hey there!

This question is very broad. I think you might get more answers if you narrow it a bit Share what are your thoughts at the moment - what vertical/niche are you thinking to work with, and from all the information you've read (and if not- you need to read a lot) what seems the most complicated to you?

Speaking veeery general on mistakes that we (everyone involved in this business) go through, Mobidea has created a series of Articles "Media buy newbies mistakes". I believe you will find there what you're looking for! Check these two parts here:
1 - https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...l-Half-Avoided
2 - https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...388#post302388
And check Mobidea Academy to find the other 3 parts.

Best of luck!

Agree with Mobidea - the question is too broad.

Speaking of mistakes to avoid though - here are more:

https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...Avoid-(Part-1)

And there's a part 2 to that - the link is in the post above.

Affiliate marketing has a learning curve, and it's very hard to get the full picture before going into it - so to a certain extent, you DO have to go into it "blindly", and just start taking that first step of setting up campaigns, then see what happens and learn further.

Please just get started, then ask more specific questions as they arise - we'll all be here to help.
