Total 1500$ budget for the first 3 months with Mobile ? Is it a right move

Hi guys,

I've joined STM for 2 days and just finish reading quite many articles included the whole OnBoard Zone.

I am a little bit familiar with SEO (8 months with a 500 views/day website) but this is the first time I try paid traffic.

I have total budget of 1500$ and split it into 3 months, which means I have only 500$/month (not really much regarding to what I read in the forum).

Here is what I am about to spend:
+ 250$ to buy traffic from PopAds
+ 99$ for Voluum.
+ 10$ for ExpressVPN
equal 360$

I have another 150$ and I am a bit confusing whether I should:
+ Use a VPS service like Beyond Hosting (~49$) as I read in a Guide of caurmen and he says :"If you're not doing mobile, you will need to rent a web server with tracking software installed". Does it mean that I do not need to get a VPS service when doing mobile campaigns ?
+ Or use Adplexity (149$) for spying successful campaigns and shorten my learning path.

Do you have any comments on this ?

Also, If you can recommend me a wise use of my 500$ budget everymonth to get started, I would really appriciate your advice.

P/S: I'm doing pop traffic (PopAds), specialize in sweeptakes, vouchers offers, my main geos are in South East Asia.

Thank you
Tien

Since you're starting on a tight budget here is a list of suggestions that might help you get the best out of it.

I would start by having an Adplexity account to have a clear picture on what is going on. That way you would get an idea of what's happening around. What offers, landers, traffic sources and affiliate networks for a selected geo, plus save time on lander creation.

Based on this info then build up a strategy on how to approach first campaigns when it comes to traffic sources, affiliate networks and stuff.

If you're going to use Voluum you won't need a VPS server with tracking software as you are purchasing that service already.

As for landing pages hosting, the best cost-saving option may be going with Amazon S3+Cloudfront. Check out Caurmen's guide below.

When you'll feel ready to start running traffic, create a follow-along, this way you'll leverage the benefits of being a STM member by having community's support in your first steps.

Thank you so much platinum. Especially for the link to set up Amazon S3 + Cloudfront. I have spent time following the guide and now waiting for it to be completely set up.

I have a question that compared to the VPS service (usually cost more than 50$/month), how much I have to pay for your Amazon S3 + Cloudfront in general.

Regards,
Tien

As far as I've used it for landing page hosting, it is free for the first year if I'm not wrong. One thing to be aware of amazon services is Route53 that will bill you based on traffic sent to the managed domain, in case you are using this as DNS service

These CDN solutions are usually the cheapest hosting solution you can use as an AM, with lower volume, it's gonna be just a few bucks a month. And on top of that, it will give you the best possible loading speeds, which is more important for mobile than any other traffic "type".

I would also recommend to take adplexity, at least for a month, to get a better idea about what your competitors are running and what LPs they are using.

With that limited budget, it might be a good idea to look at Adsbridge for tracking too, they have better priced plans for low volumes.

Definitely read a bit about detecting BOTs too, you can start with this article : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...n-Any-Campaign or focus on 3G traffic and PIN submit offers, carrier traffic is less poluted by bots. And read this to learn about PIN submit offers : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...o-promote-them
