Here's a useful info I found at http://mobilemoneyblog.com
How to View the Web Through the Eyes of a Mobile Phone
It’s very handy to be able to view your website as if you were on a mobile phone, especially a feature phone because they tend to shred the web like no other devices. And if you’re in mobile marketing it’s mission critical to be able to see what your customer sees. So, we’ve created this short tutorial to help you do just that.
There are two main ways to do this, we’ll start with the easiest method. Just visit one of the sites below and input your URL:
http://www.mowser.com/
http://mtld.mobi/emulator.php
http://google.com/gwt/n
http://www.opera.com/mobile/demo/
Easy, eh? But kind of slow and clunky and you can only view one URL at a time. So we’ll give you an alternate way that is a little harder to set up but much more flexible. Follow the steps below.
In FireFox:
1) Go to Tools > Add Ons > Get Add Ons > Search for “user agent switcher”
2) Install the User Agent Switcher add on and restart FireFox
3) Download this file
4) Go to Tools > Default User Agent > User Agent Switcher > Options
5) Click “Import” and select the file you just downloaded in step 3
6) Clear your cookies. Go to FireFox > Preferences > Privacy and click the “remove individual cookies” link then hit “remove all cookies”. Close FireFox and then re-open it.
7) Now when you go back into the Default User Agent menu you should have a sub-menu that says Top 20 Handsets. Under that menu there are 20 very popular phones, some of them are feature phones like the Samsung R450 and the Verizon RAZR and others are smart phones. Select the one you want and navigate around the web as usual, only now it will look different.
If you’re on Safari:
1) Go to Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Click the box at the bottom to enable Develop menu
2) Go to Safari > Preferences > Show all cookies > Delete all cookies
3) Restart Safari
4) Go to Develop > User Agent > Choose one of the options or go to Other and enter a user agent of your choosing. Or pick one from this file and enter it into the box provided. Then surf the web as usual.
Each time you change the user agent to a different phone, you’ll have to clear the cookies and restart the browser. It hasn’t worked reliably for us otherwise. You can use these methods to emulate any mobile phone, and you can get the user agent of any phone you want from WURFL. We like to resize the browser window to the size of the results or even smaller, to more closely replicate the experience of actually using a small phone screen.
Nice find dude, that's really handy. One thing that looks really interesting on that blog is http://mobilemoneyblog.com/tutorials...o-mobile-seo-2. Mobile SEO is so untouched, I've always been curious about the possible potential there.
